From the pictures it didn't look like there were many empty seats anywhere ... I wonder if they sold a lot of walk ups.

The pits were "empty", maybe only half full on both sides:

Waiting for Promised Land....

I read a review that stated that Axl could've been higher in the mix.  I now understand what was meant by that after listening to a few more videos.  I have to say that I think Axl has struck a nice balance between his different vocal tones from song to song.  His China Exchange interview affirmed for me that it is all about his choice in what he does vocally, not capability.  Initially, I thought this might be a swan song for the band.  Now, I feel like this is the beginning of an entirely new chapter.  One that hopefully includes new music, but that's for another time.

I will be in Orlando and I can't wait.  It will have been nearly 24 years ago I saw them at that same stadium (Citrus Bowl) with Metallica and FNM.  This will be incredible.

wich song axl introduced the band?

Before Godfather

What did axl say? Can?t find this introduction on youtube  Tongue

From what I can remember it was pretty standard, just calling out their names. He paused a bit before the last introduction, and simply said "Slash". Big cheer at the end.

I also noticed Richard got a lot of love from the crowd, big cheer whenever he was introduced. That was nice.

uhhhh
I?m expected something like HEY, THIS IS MY BRO, MY SOUL MATE, MY BEST GUITARRIST, H-I-S N-A-M-E I-S S-L-A-S-HHHHHHHH !!!!! (But that?s just me  hihipeace

Don't think so. I heard Duff yelling something when Axl said "good night" for the first time, I think after Mr. Brownstone and before Chinese.

In the interest of context: How much did he talk (meaning audibly, to the crowd) during the gigs in the AFD/UYI era?
Don't think he did that much either. I don't know, Im not as old as Jarmo and Ali. hihi

In 1991 he would great the crowd in the middle of Rocket Queen before his talk box portion. Usually dropping 3-4 f bombs into a two sentence greeting.

I'm not sure thats a sales issue....might be, but also might be capacity limits and crowding around where the action is. I see similar things at many shows with ga pits....when i know all the tickets for the pits are sold out.

Idk if there were pit tix available going into show day, here, though. Anybody know for sure?

I vaguely remember one time..him doing an intro to a song, and fucking it up. Cant remember the song it was supposed to be, but he started to say it was "its so easy", caught himself, and laughed about the fuck up.  Thats honestly the only time i can ever remember him saying anything.  Nassau colliseum in ny, maybe? Or Worschester center in mass?

Rocket queen was late in the setlists, though, at that point.  I admit....possible i was, um, not noticing by then. Wink.  Plus, 20 yeas ago.

I did het to witness an epic axl rant about get in the ring at msg.
