Axl's Throne
«
on:
April 09, 2016, 05:54:17 PM »
Can somebody please post pictures of Axl's Throne?
I'm guessing he'll be using it through Coachella, but free of it by Detroit in the Summer.
For those there last night, or tonight, is it something that's look "thrown together", or does it look like something that was already in existence?

Already in existence. It's Dave Grohl's.

Very cool! Saw that Dave was there last night; wonder if he delivered it himself

I've seen pics with Axl sitting on the throne with the Foo Fighters 'FF' logo clearly visible and some with it covered. Did the black cover fall off at some point?

I think they took it off near the end of the show.
Axl apparently said "that's great advertisement!"

Axl gave thanks to Grohl for the furniture quite a few times during the show last night.

Dave is one cool dude had the honour of meeting him in Las Vegas at the mirage when I was there to see guns n roses in 2012. He seem real down to earth and didn't mind talking with me.

Axl turned around and tore off the cover himself later in the show. It was previously covered in fabric - perhaps velcroed on.

Most people I talked to at work today (there were a few hundred wanting to hear all about the GnR news...apparently us die-hard fans are a hot commodity now lol) had heard about his injury but had no idea about the throne. People thought it was an awesome story. It seems like the general population has been overtaken by G'n'R fever at this point. They were blown away by the fact that Axl was using Dave's seat for the concerts.

Axl didn't take the cover off...the stage crew took it off before the encore.

It belonged there after Dave was done with it. The fact that Axl has now used it leads me to believe someone else will use it in the future.
