I just want them to do a whole song based on the new intro of Better. Sounded like a cool, heavy, kinda modern "song". Good drive.

The gigs seemd to have their ups and downs.

That intro is part of Better. It's rhytm guitar part from the middle of the song.

It seems Coma will be swapped for TWAT every once in a while...

They're selling a "Coma" shirt at the concerts. It may stay. Then again, a "Patience" shirt was also sold, and (surprisingly) the song was swapped for "Don't Cry" on Night #2 in Vegas.

Yeah Patience should be a every concert staple.

It went to #4.

Just need "Don't Damn Me", and "Locomotive" and things would seriously be perfect!!! Take out that "The Seeker" and toss in DOn't Damn me!!
Yeah, Locomotive would be fucking awesome. The outro is one of the finest piece of music the band ever created (yeah, that includes matt's amazing drums on it). But I guess they are already giving us tons of new and revisited stuff now. Maybe in the second leg of the tour?

For all wondering what the intro/outro music was, I found it.

Intro:

Merrie Melodies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOeMp9z24N8
The Equalizer (The Equalizer OST): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN2RnSyxLf4

Outro:

Macy Gray - Coming Back To You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oAsNQMqqVI
Cool, thanks. Slightly disapointed that the intro is something that already exist.

The layers of Axl's vocals in the outro are also sublime!

Hopefully they play it (for the first time in Toronto for selfish reasons  hihi)

Nice to see they're switching it up at least a little bit !  Good that they were on earlier today as well.  Apparently it was an issue with the venue last night ?

Fuck Slash just killed it again on the TIL solo !  Finck/Ashba versions erased from the history books.
Axl is so energized by it, it's so obvious.

Shame about the drums though, god it's awful...

Drop the crack pipe man really.  Roll Eyes

I don't think Slash's solo overcomes the original version, he is sounding like improvising in this solo, he's not trying to do it note by note and I don't think he could, cuz the technique used is this solo is different from Slash one, Finck and Ashba are very techniques and great guitar players!

I hope so, but on the photo of the setlist it said Coma/TWAT. Makes me think they might alternate on those two in the future.

Or, it could simply be just for that specific show..

I sure wouldn't object to hearing Slash's take on Bucket's TWAT outro.

Still can't believe they played Coma.  Amazing.  And it wasn't 'good for guys in their 50s good', it was incredible for them at any stage in their careers.

+1

I was really hoping they would play TWAT at one of the shows but alas, it was not meant to be for me.  Aside from TIL, it was the CD song I was most hoping to hear Slash's take on.

Do you really think that if Slash wanted to play a note for note version of Robin's solo he couldn't? Robin is a good guitar player, but let's please calm down with 'great'... I think what you are hearing is probably what Slash's take on early versions of this song from back in the 93-94 time frame sounded like.

There are like a hundred guys on youtube that can bang out a note for note rendition on their Epiphone and Line6 setup... Slash is playing what Slash wants to play, you can prefer the Robin version but please let's not pretend for more than 1 second that Robin is 1/10th the guitar player that Slash is.

Why not Dr. Alibi instead of The Seeker?

I bought a Bad Apples shirt in 1993. Needless to say (I think), they didn't play the song during the show...
