What version of KOHD?

Sort of blend between the UYI one and the one they did on the recent tours.

On a completely unrelated note....Spirit..thanks for all the work you're doing in this thread, and on the tour stuff in general. You're doing an AWESOME job. Smiley  Much appreciated.

Thanks, it's a pleasure.  Smiley

When it's such a big event in GN'R history, I don't look at it as work... just a joy all around!

I have to admit that Better did not sound good. I think it?s the first time I see Slash lost in a song  hihi

Huh Where exactly??

I think I?m used to "NuGNR" playing the song with 3 guitarrists. I tho Slash was playing the intro (the riff with axl?s vocals) but it?s Richard, my bad!
Listening again I understand it became more "raw", and that?s fine to me. And I was expecting that amazing Finck solo. Obviously I f***** LOVE Slash, but I tho he was lost trying to figure out what to do in this part

The same guy who recorded that Better lostdream posted this nice This I Love. Now I can hear Slash much better and understand way more what he's trying to do. And I really like it more.

The riff on better that Slash is playing, which is rhythm right? Rich is doing the lead?

That is probably a riff or a type that he could play blind folded and behind his back ya know. He does look somewhat disinterested in the riff, it seems super easy for him, and I don't know... maybe I'm reading into it too much?

I totally understand that in GnR History there might have been tecnically "better" guitar players. And lovely human beeings...that's for sure!
But GnR right now is the BEST example of proving that the sum is much more amazing than the single pieces.
Look at Axl looking at Slash. NO "guitar player" could do that! ❤️

I get a "spanish music" -feeling from that solo.

It's like the solo and music could've fitted into the movie Desperado.

Not a bad thing by the way. Smiley

I think that he is in fact being "protective" via Axl.

Richard plays Bucket first leads and Robin's main riff (the one that follows Axl's "no one ever told me when.." - by the way, Richard plays that riff with his fingers, sounded more "country-ish"). After the second chorus, all leads are Slash's. And yeah, I think you're reading into it too much. The chord progression is actually more complex than the average GNR songs. And I'm really glad that Slahs plays it just like he's supposed to instead of just relying into power chords. ok

You're right, sounds more spanish guitar influenced. Enio Morricone would like that. Cheesy

Axl was struggling to breathe - and he stepped up soloing
But he should play it anyways. At least thats how the song originally goes.

Not directly GN'R, but did anyone catch the song they played on the PA after the final bow?

What was it?

Really prefer Robin's version. Its the "original" one. I wouldn't like the other guys modifying slash's solo, so the same applys, in my opinion. And besides that, it was the best solo on CD.
