Just reading comments and reaction and I'm so fucking annoyed. It's things like 'wish I could earn millions sitting down' that piss me off. People just love to hate...

Sorry guys but Axl voice is a mess.

What are you on about? Did you even listen to the show?

It's that your argument for everyone who has sincere concerns about his voice ?

You can say you don't care about his voice, but there's no way you can deny what's going on.

He has some trouble, nobody denies it, but pushing a gnr song sitting on a chair is hard for anybody ... I know he won't sound like in 2010 anyway even standing up... At least he's not gasping  Wink

The audience seems to be watching a Andrea Bocelli concert.

Ok..

So Axl is now 54 now in his twenties so I'm not quite sure what your expectations are?

Secondly he controls his voice and uses it to what he feels is best, throughout the majority of the show tonight he had a rasp or whatever you wanna call it, then he will use some songs like SCOM or Civil war where it's clean but does it sound terrible? No. Go back and watch rock in rio 2011 you could say that was an off night for axl and the band itself but you're comparing him tonight to that? Are you serious.. Your expectations are ridiculous. Give the guy a fucking break. He sings his heart out and 98% of love it. That was NOT a bad performance.

Ok, let's put some of the negative aside. What did you guys think about Slash's take on This I Love? I feel we heard the solo he originally did in the 90s.. I dunno, but it had nothing in common to Robin's aside from the very first note.

hard to say really. I think he totally butchered the solo, but maybe it gets good eventually. they should have invited Robin for a guest appearance at this song, he never got a chance to play it live peace

He did great but he changed it for the better in my opinion. He plays it more like blues style

The solo was nothing really..but I reckon as the shows go on, he may change it up a bit. That was the only negative from slash because he was just amazing tonight along with the rest of the band.

I think Slash was great on TIL and there is no reason why he should play it like Robin or whoever the hell.

Overall it seems like they've thought this thing through way better than on recent tours.

The lighting, stage, intro and especially the background videos/animations/logos were wonderful. More consistent and simply more professional in my opinion!

In regards to how Axl sounds compared to the UYI days. I think something people don't realize is how much of a strain singing like that puts on ones vocal chords. There's a reason Axl had so many throat problems back in the day because singing like that isn't the proper way. It takes serious toll on his voice.

Holy shit!  Just got back to my room.  So many things to discuss.  First, you people are batshit crazy if you think Axl didn't sound good.  He was on point, and picked up right where he left off.  Despite being in the chair, he looked happy...many smiles.  Slash...what can I say?  He was amazing.  Loved the new Better...the intro was great (thought it was a new song for a second).  And COMA!!!  Are you serious?  That was a real treat.  Can't wait for the next show...
