You can see him in that video for a few seconds (0:13-0:15). He is playing that solo.

The way they did it live in the 80's (like the Marquee or Ritz shows) is the best it ever sounded. The UYI tour version was a little too bloated, but I do love it at the Freddie Mercury show... and the NuGNR version was too 'weak' for my taste.

Dad is a monster Dylan fan.  That's Dad's Axl.

He always referred to the UYI version as "stadiumed up". 

It's still my favorite version if it.  Found the NuGNR version sort of weak, although truer to the original.
