I'm curious to hear the experiences others have had with presales.  I'll admit to being thoroughly pissed off at the Fan Club for the experience I had with their presale.  I tried for tickets right at open through the fan club and was offered 300 level tickets.  After trying over and over for another 20 minutes I eventually pulled up a pair of floor seats.  I really wanted GA and I falsely assumed that would not be hard to come by with the fan club spread out over 20 shows and each of us only allotted 2 total tickets for all shows.  I was so disgusted that I skipped buying tickets entirely.

Today I had my friend try the Citi presale right at open just as I had.  He scored us 4 GA1 tickets on the first try. No problem.  He could have probably gotten more as Citi allows up to 8 tickets to be purchased for each show - unlike the fan club I paid to be in and their 2 ticket limit across all shows.

This leaves me wondering why did I pay for the fan club to begin with?  How many fan club members from the US were actually trying for tickets?  Was it really impossible to see that GA tickets were held for first access by Fan Club members?  Pearl Jam's fan club offers the best seats in the building to their fan club members - every time.  Was it too much to expect to not pull up 300 level seats as "best available" when I hit Ticketmaster at 10AM?  Couldn't something have been done like was done with Coachella where fan club members had GA tickets held for them?

I'd love to hear from everyone else on their experiences - what you got and which presale you got it through.

Well ... I used the Nightrain pr esale to buy a pair for the NY show... just to guarantee I had at least two seats at face value.

However.. It sucks that it's only two max. I wanted to buy 8 .. which I was able to do with a help of a friend today with the CITI presale. We are going to have a big group outing with the 10 tickets and have a big tailgate.

That would be my only complaint about the Nightrain with the 2 max.

I also find when you're dealing with Ticketmaster... you always get fucked somehow or some way.

I used the Nightrain presale.  I got tickets in 2 minutes.

Obviously, that affects my opinion on the presale, as its hard to complain with those results.

I will say that I think the max should have been 4, and not 2.  I had other buddies that would have come with, but I couldn't help them out.

The best I could do was B2 for Toronto after trying for over twenty min. But you know what I don't care as long as I've got tickets to this show I'am fine what ever. Never been to Toronto before should be fun, get to cross off two things on my bucket list.

It isn't just about getting tickets though or how fast you got them - it's WHAT tickets you got.  I feel like the fan club should have been given access to GA with plenty of availability.  I'm disappointed that I paid for the fan club and had to get my GA through Citi.  Pearl Jam can manage this - why can't GNR?

Number one, Pearl Jam is a tough standard to meet, as they do a pretty amazing job for their fans and have for 25 years now.

Secondly, this is a band that had "check back for new info soon" as their homepage for what, 3 years?

And lastly, is it THAT big a deal?  The only people with gripes should be people that literally got no tickets.  If you got tickets, wherever they are, you come across as crying with 2 loaves of bread under your arm.

At least in my view, anyway.

One of my friends signed up for Nightrain the night before just for access to good tickets.  When he tried to get tickets he was met repeatedly with an error "Oops, something went wrong" - which I think is a good line to maybe add to the next round of fan club t-shirts.

I didn't have a problem with the Fan Club presale.  Was able to search different sections, price ranges, etc.  There was pretty much availability for all sections I tried.  I settled on mid-levels, bough them and that was that.   I logged in about an hour after the presale opened, so maybe it was easier after the initial traffic dissipated.

True - the fan club gave me instant access to quality nose bleed seats.  I should be happy about my investment in the fan club.

But you weren't trying for the best tickets in the building (GA) of which there should have been plenty, but there were apparently only a handful for each show.  If I was indifferent on where I sat - yes I did have access to tickets.

I think you had better shot if you had instead first checked the boxes that you wanted as opposed to just clicking best available, at least that was my experience, and I was able to get GA, after 3 searches, for Met Life. Today I picked up tickets in lower bowl for friends who wanted to go, with Citi pre sale. Had no issues picking the price range they were comfortable to pay.

I knew something was up when I saw that the GA was so tiny. Those tickets were being held for VIP it seems. Especially in NJ. Maybe only a handful were released like you said.

Will try again on Friday for floor up front but then what do I do with the section 7 tickets I bought towards the back of the field? Can't just sell them on Stubhub since its ticket L aster their competitor Angry

Just tried the Citi pre sale for Kansas City and the first set of tickets that came up was C section floor row 25. Hit it again and General Admission Pit 2 came up. I didn't buy either as I got my tickets on Saturday during the Night Train pre. Got section A row 13 on the floor for that one. Would have liked the Section C I came across today but I don't have another $550.

I tried for over 24 hours to get me tickets via Nightrain pre-sale.  I was finally able to get seats in the A row after being timed out twice due to their claim that I was typing in wrong password or username.  Also, now they tell me that there is a delay in the delivery.  Has anyone else received that?

Yes tickets will not be delivered until at least 2 weeks after the general on sale.

Yes, we all did.

It actually said that on the page.

Me. Some message about making sure real fans are receiving pre-sale benefits.

I'm not a Nightrain member, but the Citi this morning gave me a first row (after ga) option, I just didn't have that much money.
