I've been waiting 20 years for this.  I'm beyond excited. I'm hopeful- for new material.  I'm afraid- that the two shows closest to me will happen during business trips.  I'm curious- as to how it will sound after all this time.  I'm happy- that 2 of my favorite musicians have buried the hatchet. I'm insanely jealous-of the folks that will see the show tonight in person.  Above all else- I'm a teenage fanboy again, ready to see the most dangerous band in the world.

As someone who grew up a young Gunner, it's just huge. I'll be staying up 24 hours over here in Scotland to take in all the build up. I've been reading these forums since 2006 - there can't have been many bigger nights than this one

You're right. This is the biggest night in GNR history FOR SURE since the release of Chinese Democracy. Arguably bigger.

It is the first time since Axl and Slash since July 1993, and I believe AFD 5 will be there tonight.

That would be the first since April of 1990. That's a long time people. Longer than you think. Just barely shy of 26 years.

I am overwhelmed with joy and excitement. The same way I always feel when they return from a hiatus but exponentially amplified.

It is great to be sharing this with my HTGTH family. We've gotten each other through many slow news days (or years) with speculation, theories, top 10 lists, heated arguments, and hypothetical dream scenarios. You are all cool as hell. Thanks for posting entertaining stuff.

Now once again the world is watching as we all embark on a new action packed chapter with our favorite band.

Just going back the years. I think I was like 13 or 14 or something when I woke up to the intro of SCOM. Instead of screaming "turn it down" to my brother from under my pillow like usual, I yelled "what's this?". Since then I've been hooked. And it's like 15 years later now... oh how I dreamed about this moment. No matter how much I liked the 00's lineups too.

In this moment, I sit here on April Fool's day, just watched NXT Takeover, which was incredible...

My favorite band is getting ready to get back together with 2 of the main components after 20+ years apart. It's just insane.

Just the whole thing of them getting together in any capacity.... let alone the Troubadour...

Small club now? And they'll be playing stadiums in 2 months? Just amazing. I truly hope that a documentary/concert is being made on this.

Yeah I read that somewhere, didn't take much stock in it. I do hope you are correct with your presumption. Makes sense they would want to record this for future release. Would be an instant buy for me.

Full show, extras, documentary... they should make it an event.

I think Axl might not have been at fault with his remarks about his efforts with that lineup being sabotaged by others pushing for a reunion. Look at how smoothly promotion surrounding this regrouping has worked out so far.
