Chinese Democracy out 2014!

They replaced Pitman with a girl?  rofl

Ummm... what is so funny with that?

My personal highlights of the night are definitely Better and DTJ on the setlist. DTJ is one of my favourite live songs, especially the 1993 version of it. Like Slash said back then, that song can be magic.

DUDE!!!  I'm just catching up on all the awesomeness!  What a night!  Great setlist...and even 2 CD songs (so much for the classic members can't/won't play CD songs).  Man, the whole vibe of this is fantastic.  Given the setlist, comments from management, and apparently a new band member, this band has the feel of looking forward (and not the nostalgia/greatest hits/cash grab bullshit people whined about).  Last night just made me that much more stoked about Vegas (as if that were even possible).

Dude wasn't going to turn back the clock to 1992, guys.

You have to manage expectations.  I thought he sounded alright.

Yeah, and though I know you hate this argument....listen to the way the cymbals sound in that audio.  They're missing their rattle, too.  In this case, I honestly don't know how much is lack of rasp, and how much is crappy audio.

In other clips, you can CLEARLY hear the rasp in other songs.  So..crappy audio or worn out by the end of the show?

On another note: Seeing Slash and Axl go back to back in that clip.....GAHHHHHHH. Smiley

Amazing setlist! This is a great time to be a GNR fan! I was at the event in the morning (stood in line but didn't get tickets) but still had a great time. The whole event at Tower Records was well-planned and a lot of fun. I got to talk with fans and Fernando Lebeis, eat free food, listen to music and watch dancers in a GNR memorabilia exhibit!

Vegas next week!  Yeah!

Slash and Axl were keeping their distance from each other during the show. It will be ino erecting to see how things play out durine the tour. I was really surprised to hear them play the songs off Chinese Democracy and found them to be a total departure from the rest of the set. Completely different style of music that almost didn't fit in. Loved hearing The Seeker as that is one of my favorite Who songs. To be there was completely unreal.
