Phil Rudd:

"If Angus wanted me to play then that is up to him... but I don't really want to play with Axl Rose... I don't really rate him."

Thanks for that Phil. How's it going. Try to have anyone interesting killed lately?

I like going back to the start of this thread and reading how really nobody saw this coming and nobody believed the rumors.   Pretty funny actually

Well I am still here....

I don't think anyone has ever complained about ac/dcs setlist

In fact, when Axl first joined the band there was some positive buzz around how they did change up some songs.  I heard an interview with Angus were he was talking about this with a smile on his face.

Any fan of any band should welcome setlist changes every once in a while

Most big time bands don't switch it up too much though.

I think the gripe a lot of us had with Axl's GNR was not that it rarely varied show to show, but even tour to tour.

I wont speak for anyone elses gripes

If I went to two shows back to back in the same city I would love to hear a completely different setlist

Like how ac/dc only plays ac/dc music   I would love Guns, to only play guns music

If I went to two shoes back to back in the same city I would love to hear a completely different setlist

But is that realistic?  I guess that's more where I'm coming from.

If you look at most stadium/arena big time bands, there just isn't that sort of nightly variety outside, say, a Pearl Jam.  Who have been doing that since they were a club band 25 years ago.

But you go see the Stones, U2, Coldplay...that sort of level of band, the setlist for that tour is pretty much the setlist.  Same with GNR.

For a big stadium show, the band gets a lot slack, because everything has to be timed perfectly.   However after the 5 big songs with all the sparks and flashes, you can sneak in a ton of other songs, that's why they have an alternative list and if they plan on doing back to back shows in the same city, that alternative list should of just been longer.....  After all I think the majority of people that go to the second show, have already gone to the first one.

I have seen the Stones play live twice back to back and they tossed in a ton of new material the second show  Stadium shows....

it can be done, I think its just very easy/safe to play 90% of the same music on back to back shows.

So to answer you.   Its very realistic to do.

Is it realistic to expect though.   Nope
