Axl's pushing his limits on Hells Bells, but damn he's going high.

I have to say hands down, that was the best I've ever heard Axl. Seen GNR 5 times but this trumps them all. I had such a blast, the crowd were amazing and full of energy. Even had flares setting off! Everyone went crazy at shoot to thrill jumping everywhere! Was a pleasure to watch Angus, makes me feel terrible because he's so energetic! Never stops. Thought Axl on hells bells was insane, probably the best I've heard. My ears are still ringing and I love it. Such a great night, my dad was made up to. Bought him a ticket for his birthday. I knew what to expect going in because I've seen how great the band is but it still blew me away!! I've got a good shook me all night long video. Should be done in a few mins

At the Isle of Wight festival last night I saw a guy in an ACDC shirt with the London date on and asked him about the show.  He was a 100% outer, he got dragged into staying with it by his mates, who said basically, that at least they'd to hear the songs that they loved, besides there's Angus who is a Legend.

He told me that his view now is that Axl not only nailed it but owned it.  He said that he has seen the band over 20 times since the 70's and the current line-up,and with a heavy heart, is the best live version of ACDC there is.  He also added the shows have suddenly have become unpredictable, in a good way and that he is trying to raise the funds to see them again in the US, a country he has never felt the compulsion to visit before.  He would have been in Manchester tonight but he is the Best Man at his pals wedding and the festival is their Stag event and had been booked in since about August last year.

Last night in Manchester was absolutely incredible. For a GNR fan this is sell your mother for a ticket stuff- just get to one of these shows!

Everything about it was off the scale- it's the benchmark for any stadium show. As the above poster said- I reckon it's the best I've ever seen Axl too. He's on form in every way. He plays it down a lot- he's very much "just the singer" in this- doesn't talk much, doesn't hog the limelight, just sings- but for me it was difficult to see past him as the star of the show. He nailed it in absolutely every way.

There was a moment during 'Riff Raff' that actually got to me a bit- he was there, dancing in his leg cast, with the biggest grin on his face, as lost in the music as the crowd, and it was remarkable to see. We've followed this guy through all sorts of ups and downs, negative comments, etc etc- it felt like a reward last night. Like we finally get to say "yeah, well, I did tell you he was incredible for many years".

Just go if you get the chance- don't miss this. The only down side is that I don't know how GNR shows will beat it! Other than having songs that are about 100 times better than the ACDC ones of course!

I am really jacked for the show i have tickets for...

and if not for the Not In This LIfetime Tour... I would be ten times more excited for the ACDC thing than I already am. In a way i wish the ACDC thing happened any other year in the last 5 years or so to not take away anything from this current GNR run.

Axl sounds incredible on these songs. I think GNR is going to crush it all summer too.

Which show you going to?

I guess with the fact we probably won't be seeing GNR in Europe this year, if it at all, the show was an added bonus for me! The idea of seeing this show and the GNR show in one summer is incredible!

MSG/ New York for ACDC and Metlife for the GNR shows.

Could never have dreamed all of this up.

I am curious to how the U.S. ACDC crowds will react to Axl and the whole thing. The arena shows without G.A. are not as rowdy as the big stadium shows that are going now...

and as we know real well around here... the U.S. fans are not as accepting of replacement members as Europe or S.A is !
