Axl confirmed as new singer for AC/DC tour (June 1, 2016: US dates announced)

I honestly don't get what all the fuss is about. He did basically the same setlist with a couple added songs one being riff raff which we already heard with GN'R. He sounded great yes but he was seated the whole time and ACDC isn't like the most entertaining band by a long shot. It's just 2 guys really the singer and Angus. It was super cool but people saying it's better than any GN'R show especially if they are GN'R fans first is just stupid. I watched the whole thing on periscope as well.

Absolutely amazing performance by Axl.  Back to his very best today, no doubt. No doubt also that he gives his 100 per cent when he wants.

I haven't seen anybody saying that was better than a GN'R show, here anyway.

Axl delivered. He made all Axl/GN'R fans proud.

AC/DC is on any Top-10 list for any hard rock fan born in the 70's. And Axl subbed for Brian and nailed it.

As far as those saying Axl sang better than he has for GN'R, one thing people need to recognize is that Axl gets to stay in his rasp when singing AC/DC songs. His rasp is untouchable by any other singer in the history of Rock & Roll.

And, yes, he was sitting which helped him deliver a more consistent rasp. Axl has always tried to balance his signature high energy movement with singing, and sometimes him running around affects his hitting lyrics to match studio version quality.

He has just sang better than in the recent reunion shows. That's a fact. Not better than when I last saw him in San Sebastian in 2010, but on par with those years shows.

Maybe its just that the benefits of rehearsal have made themselves present, haha. Can't stop watching back in black!

AC/DC and their fan base are the "heart" "pulse," and "spirit" of mainstream rock, and they're the most respected and revered band in the business for their longevity, fan friendly delivery, consistency, energy, passion, and dependable live shows. They are the quintessential rock n roll machine. If you can win over AC/DC fans-- you can win over the rock n roll world.
This is rock n roll royalty, one of the greatest moments in Rock N Roll history. The first frontman to "front" and "lead" the two biggest bands in the world at the same fucking time. NO ONE has ever done that.

I called Axl sitting on Grohl's throne during his legendary "reunion/comeback" gig in Vegas his "Kirk Gibson moment."
Well, tonight was Axl's "Magic Johnson moment." Magic once "filled in" as center for an injured Kareem and put up some serious numbers to win the game. Magic could play any position and dominate. Clearly Axl has the rock n roll frontman versatility to front two world class bands.


I always said if he plays his cards right, this crazy mother fucker could win back rock fans and "reset" his reputation. He is starting to do everything right. He has the talent and mystique to go down in history as not only a rock n roll legend, but one of the last "outlaws" of American music-- in the same vein as Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, George Jones, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, Waylon Jennings, Jim Morrison, Hendrix, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash.
