HE can do whatever he wants, as always, but maybe he should start thinkin a little more about his own fans and what they want ok

Hey, I agree with you.

But, flipside of that argument is that for all our "whining" we are still selling out buildings for him without him lifting a finger.

In truth, not a super rationale for him to change his ways.

Strange that Axl is doing interviews and PR for Acdc and GnR have done nothing and look totally indifferent when playing together,looks like he is having a whale of a time with Angus and co and fits right in there and I'm sure the shows will be fun, begs the question are Slash and him even talking? So far it looks not ,the communication on stage is minimal ,arriving at gigs separately,no press,joint interviews ,no explanation on the absence of Izzy or Adler,Ok what's important is what comes from the stage which has been good so far but something tells me the Iceberg in GnR hasn't fully melted just yet.

I love this but... It's so difficult to do the same things with your own band? I mean interviews, showing rehersals, backstage things etc?  Roll Eyes

Well, he's not the boss here.  Seems the most logical differentiation.

He's been his own boss the past 20 years.  And has shown to give no fucks about such things.

Here, he's just a soldier in this man's army.  Not the general.

I know what you mean, but it really doesn't make a big difference. If u have problems doing certains thing, you'll always try not to do those things... Actually he looks more the lead singer of AC DC thant the gnr one. I understand angus is his idol etc, you wanna show respect...but cmon... After 20 years he got back with slash and we haven't still heard a single fuckin word about it.

HE can do whatever he wants, as always, but maybe he should start thinkin a little more about his own fans and what they want ok

Axl sounds great on AC/DC material, he is doing absolutely wonderful -GNR shows are selling out as well- and some people still find things to complain and whine about. Unbelievable!  hihi

Here's hoping for a great show in Lisbon tonight, this is rock history in the making- very exciting!

Truly a great year for Axl  peace

There seemed a happier vibe at the Troubador than any of the first 5 gigs.

But how much of that is the chair?  Axl has to feel somewhat detached sitting in that thing.

He mentioned in the AC/DC BBC6 interview that he 'feels like a moron' sitting in that chair but just powers through and sings the song.

Amazing the info that gets out when there is some press done...

Different band, different way of working. Right now for gn'r apparently no press needed shows are selling out anyway. Ik am curious which plates they will play in Europe though.

I think Axl sounds fenomanal on those songs. Thanks guys.

Tried to listen to some classics on Spotify. Still not very into AC/DC for some reason. But I am very much interested in Axl singing those songs. Smiley

At some moments it's like they built a time machine and brought 80's Axl to front them  peace peace
Honestly, I wouldn't have imagined Axl had that much power left in his voice, and i say that even knowing that the last GNR concerts were some of the best in many many years (voice wise)

I completely support his ACDC gig and I think it's gonna be amazing - even got myself an AXL/DC shirt to support our guy - but I can't help myself but feel a little jelous of these interviews etc, since we got none with GNR. And I know it's a completely different scenario where he's not the boss and is only having fun, even though it's also a big responsibility. Like GNR is his wife and ACDC is his new girlfriend, when everything is exciting.

I really believe the vibe in GNR is good and they're happy to be doing the tour. The Troubadour show was a small stage, Axl was walking around. That makes a big difference, but even so we could see them smilling, talking and the guys playing beside Axl's throne in Vegas and Mexico. When the summer tour starts I think we'll have the big package finally.

Anyway, I keep thinking about the reasons for this media silence:
1) It's a strategy, just add mystique to the whole thing;
2) They want to avoid embarrassing questions and questions about the future they haven't figure out yet;
3) They just don't like doing it and since it's all doing fine they decided they won't do it unless necessary;
4) They have some contractual/legal reason for not doing it yet;
5) They are waiting for a specific moment to do it;
6) All of the above.

Fuck.

Good to finally hear they are planning Euro dates.

But...

... he sings like he has for the last 15 years, and then he sings like he does now rehearsing with another band Huh

Either he's gonna fuck up his voice for good after these AC/DC dates, or he's gonna have to sing like that for the rest of his career.

I mean, c'mon, what the fuck ?

This FINALLY proves there's nothing wrong with his voice, it was all a vocal technique issue, he's been holding back for 15 years ...

Dunno how to feel about that !

He didn't even go all out on the ChiDem studio stuff !!!

Part of Axl's mystique, longevity, and "staying power" has always been his keen sense of the value of staying out of the public spot light and keeping media appearances sparse, short, and ambiguous. Axl's "rock star" acumen is genius. It's all about pacing yourself with patience, tons of foreplay, and not always blowing the load. He always leaves his fans wanting more; he instinctively knows the benefit of leaving a little hunger inside the fans and media. If you are always satiating the hunger, eventually there is no hunger and one is just left stuffed, full, bored, sick or indifferent. A little hunger is good, anticipation and desire are good. George Strait has followed a similar model-- he keeps his interviews sparse and short-- never giving away too much.

Hopefully Angus and co didn't lure Axl deep into their web of diabolical satanism and convince him to sell his soul to the devil in return for the restoration of his 80s vocals.
My only concern with Axl playing with AC/DC is that the peer pressure from his heroes and idols might have been enough to convince him to delve into the dark arts and black magic of the occult and satanism like AC/DC has done for their entire career.
Historically, Axl never needed to resort to a deal with Satan for success, fame, talent, and record sales. He did it all on his own. But now, I hope it isn't coming from the Prince of Darkness. The Ancient Serpent, the Prince of this world, will give a person all the fame, power, and glory of this world in return for the damnation of one's soul in eternal hell fire.
I'm not super religious, but I've lived long enough to know that God is real, justice is real, and evil is real. The Devil is real, and so I've been praying for Axl.

So what time have they started lately Huh

Portugal is one of these countries where kids stay up late and dinner is not at 6pm like in many other countries in Europe. Their soccer matches can start as late as 9.45pm.

It'd be quite funny really if the second coolest gig in recent memory started before a normal league game hihi

The opening act starts at 7:30 P.M. (Lisbon time. I think it's GMT) So I guess AXL/DC will take the stage around 9 or 9:30 P.M.
