Axl confirmed as new singer for AC/DC tour (June 1, 2016: US dates announced)

I was with Axl today, at the end of the rehearsal with AC/DC.  Took a picture and he signed two albums I had.  He was in a very good mood, saying jokes, and being very nice with everyone. A true class act. 

And the rehearsal sounded excellent!

He had something in his leg, not exactly the same thing he had in GNR shows. He was limping, but he was walking with no extra help

I wonder if Axl already had a second surgery to remove the plate/pins they used to set his broken foot.

Axl has never been about the $$$. He is doing this out of passion and love. Like he needs the extra paycheck. NO!!!

Find it hard to believe Axl is doing this for the pay cheque  - whatever the contract supposedly says.

Can't wait to here him sing shot down in flames or girls got rhythm. Fuck that new ACDC stuff.

Its more than money to Axl, I have no doubt. If he were doing it just for money, he wouldn't look as happy as he has.  And frankly, he looks as happy as he's ever been.  There' s no reason they can't do media during the Guns tour, especially to fill in seats in the stadiums they haven't sold out.  If Axl is comfortable doing promo for AC/DC, why would he have a problem doing it with Guns? 

Axl sounds great.  Is in better shape than he's been in years.  Is highly motivated right now, doing two tours at once, and not missing a beat after breaking his foot.  Was cool to paparazzi.  Doing promo.  The way I see it, Axl is in the best place he's been in years and this bodes well for everything, including new music.

Now when it comes caring or not caring if they become "friends" again, I definitely feel like I have a vested interest in this being more than money.  If they get along well, even if just enjoying each other's company touring together, its a blessing for them individually and for the fans, as bonds create better music.  And as a fan since 1988, I actually like them as people.   And don't get it twisted, I realize I only know what we hear in the media, but we actually know quite a bit about them, and not just superficial shit like certain "friends" we all have.

Alternatively, if we don't get any Guns promo or new music down the road, I'll still be happy to have seen them play live together again.  But I want a future, I want music again, and I feel like if there's ever a new hope, this is it.

AC/DC? (or AxlDC if you like?) : Axl's joining one of his favourite bands ever for a few shows to help out. Guys going to know how role and respect that - in AxlDC he'll be the awestruck kid who got the dream job, with luck. Not doing it for money. Axl's never done anything for money. The money things presumably is a mild incentive to ensure Axl runs as part of the machine, on time.

GNR? Even with Slash and Duff, that's mostly his ship these days, and he'll steer it how he wants.

Axl seems really happy and he jokes around a lot. he's very respectful and honored to be doing this. he jokes a few times about screwing up their songs, and wanting this gig so bad he would do anything to prevent other singers from getting a chance. this freakin cracked me up....

What?s the latest with Phil [Rudd, former drummer who was arrested for threatening to kill a former employee last year]?
