All this rant is so unnecessary...I mean, if someone filled for Axl in GNR I would of course be disappointed, but I would never keep crying over the internet like a spoiled child...thats how ACDC fans look to me adter all of this...a bunch of spoiled brats...pay some respect to the guy for Gods sake!! If you dont agree, dont watch it!!

But you would still go, 100%?  I don't know what I'd do, in that spot.

If, god forbid, something happened to Axl between now and my show in July...and Slash told me not to worry and that he's get his buddy Myles who "knows the material"...my interest in the show would plummet.
I don't think Myles is a fair comparison. I get the connection, and he's certainly talented. But Axl is one of the greatest lead singers of all time. I don't know who a good comparison would be, since Axl is younger than the members of AC/DC and was influenced by them. So that would take guys like Tyler, Halford, etc. out of the mix. Same with contemporaries like Hetfield, Baz, etc. I'm not sure how good a fit they'd be, but what about guys a little younger than Axl like Vedder, Grohl, Billy Joe Armstrong, Cornell? At least those guys are household names. No offense to Myles.

Of those guys, Baz is probably your best pick.

Eddie Vedder is far and away my favorite guy on your list.  And my favorite guy alltime behind Axl.  I just can't see him doing the material.

Same here. Eddie certainly has the name, but I'm not sure how that would work. Pearl Jam does a lot of covers though and he handles them well, so you never know. Let's hope we don't have to find out.

Agreed.  Amazing cover band.

I will often find myself then singing along with the original song, but in Eddie's voice.

'You've Got To Hide Your Love Away' is a great example of this.

Wonder if Axl's leg will still be in a cast for the first AC/DC shows..

If not, will he be able to walk properly in the immediate time after removing it? Anyone have any knowledge/experience with that?

I'm wondering this myself. I'll be attending the Seville show on May 10th and I think his leg will still be in a cast. One way or another, I'm going to have a blast....If someone had told a year ago than Axl would have reunited with Slash and Duff and fronted AC/DC I would've told them to stop dancing with Mr Brownstone!

Such an incredible time to be a Guns/Axl fan.

it's a pity some people here are returning their tickets claiming a refund. I have a few friends amongst them who have already claimed a refund without even watching a youtube video with Axl singing Whole Lotta Rossie or Riff Raff. It's their loss anyway. Axl and ACDC are going to put a fantastic show. Can't wait!

Ahead of one of the most anticipated tours of the year, when ACDC kick start the second European leg of their Rock Or Bust tour, this Saturday in Lisbon fellow rock stars have applauded the decision to invite Axl Rose on board for this tour:

Alice Cooper says, "You know, his voice is absolutely perfect for that band."

Zakk Wylde, one time Ozzy Osbourne guitarist, now Black Label Society frontman says, "I couldn?t think of a better choice than Axl Rose. Axl's such a huge fan, So, yeah, Axl?s gonna be beyond honoured, and I think it?s gonna be awesome."

Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. Bassist Nikki Sixx also thinks Rose is a good fit for the iconic band, saying, "...I think Axl's got the right voice for that band." -

I only hope that people in New York ask for refunds too so I can snag up a ticket to see this.

I was with Axl today, at the end of the rehearsal with AC/DC.  Took a picture and he signed two albums I had.  He was in a very good mood, saying jokes, and being very nice with everyone. A true class act.  Smiley

And the rehearsal sounded excellent!

He had something in his leg, not exactly the same thing he had in GNR shows. He was limping, but he was walking with no extra help
