Do you guys think people would go as far as to go to these shows and boo Angus?

Sounds stupid, I know.  But we live in a world where people were buying GNR tickets to hold up "Where's Slash?" signs.

It's possible. If they already bought tickets they could go expecting to hate it, or refusing to even give it a fair chance. Axl and/or Angus may be like Rocky when he fought Drago in Russia. Maybe they can go into hostile territory and change their minds.

In all honesty though, I'd like to think far more people will go to the show for their enjoyment rather than some sort of protest.

I would most certainly hope so.

Last thing we need is some asshat pelting Axl with something from the crowd.  We know how that's going to go.

I haven't thought about this at all but now that you mention it it's certainly possible. Yeah, what do you think as we certainly live in a certain world filled with hatred?

I don't see it being a massive problem but I suppose there will be a few hooligans trying to ruin it for everyone. It doesn't sound stupid but whether it actually happens is another matter though.

We know how that's going to go.

We can't have Axl leaving the stage even if it was for all the right reasons and the rest of the band supported it. It simply wouldn't go down in the media no matter what really happened.

Yes it is stupid.  Why do you always focus on negative shit?

Exactly.

Throwing shit at any stage is a coward move and not acceptable in any situation.  No performer should have to put up with that nonsense.

But is that how its going to be portrayed?  I agree with you, that it will not be sympathetic.  Which is bullshit.

So you are saying that some negative shit simply couldn't happen? I disagree as it's not being negative but realistic actually.

It also really depends on which country they are in. There are many different cultures in Europe in a relatively small area. Like Italians they attack their soccer team's training ground after a loss. Where as in Scandinavia people just go home and might post something on Facebook out of frustration.

And Lisbon is a little bit like South America with plenty of hot blood ok

Mine were also legit questions.

Which, somehow, were able to be answered by multiple other posters without worrying about me, personally.

Maybe there's something to that.

"What if Axl kicks ass singing those AC/DC songs?" is also a legit question, but not one we'd see from you.....  hihi
Which I believe is the point Gypsy tried to make, without you wanting to acknowledge it.

Honestly, your for whatever reason absence has lead to the most harmonious time I have ever seen on these boards.

Seems silly to add a "no offense" to that, but...that's how it is.

If you truly haven't been reading the threads this whole time you've been on walkabout, let me break it down.  These threads are filled with nothing but happy people all making happy posts.

You've been back for...hmm, about an hour now.  And its 2013-15 all over again.

Yay for us!

Like I said, your idea of "harmony" is when no one points out how negative you are.  hihi

I'm not saying the negative shit couldn't happen.  I'm saying why focus on what a handful of assholes might do?

Axl fronting these AC/DC shows is awesome for both their fans and us.  If their fans don't want to see Axl in this capacity, okay for them and more tickets for us.

And I seriously doubt Angus is losing sleep because there might be some fans giving him the Bronx cheer.

And why bring up what would happen if some assholes started throwing shit?  We should all agree on what the band's reaction should be to that.

Some people just continually bring up negative shit just to be negative even when all these awesome positive things are happening.

What if Axl said 'No'??

These same Ac/dc fans will be angry even more.. maybe not!

But I'm pretty sure a lot of "who the hell he think he is", etc would surface around..

Just a thought  peace

Not sure.  The reaction from their fans suggests they would have not accepted anyone.

Honestly, given the vocal styles, Axl is pretty much the perfect fill in.  If even he doesn't pass muster, who would?

When the resale tickets go up once the Philly show gets rescheduled, I'll look into it.  But probably expect almost as many GNR fans in that crowd than AC/DC fans.
