Also, I hope Axl doesn't wreck his vocal cords doing this.

This is nonsense... singers ... they SING songs.

I would be more concerned about his foot... I hope his foot is 100 percent by the time GNR hits Detroit.

I don't get the hate against Axl. He could have said "No, I don't wanna do this" too. But he said yes (Even with a damaged foot)

It's actually really easy to understand.

He's NOT Brian.

Agreed, I think that worry is overblown. I think he can handle it just fine. I doubt he would risk it if he thought it might be a problem. I'm sure they'll work together with Axl to craft the setlist to songs he's most comfortable singing. He'll be fine. Just no more falls on stage, that's all I ask.

Ding, ding, ding.

Let's say Axl had really fucked up his foot.  Couldn't even sit in the chair and just could not perform.

But, fear not...because Slash's buddy Myles is going to fill in!  Everything will be fine!!

What would our reaction be?

I question how much of the material he knows.

Something he grew up on, like 'Dirty Deeds', he probably knows.

What about the more recent stuff like 'Rock Or Bust' or 'Rock N' Roll Train'?  Does he know that stuff?

This is a stadium tour, with more casual ACDC fans.
I don't think this boycott or whatever the fans are doing will have any impact on the actual shows. But I do understand their position, specially because it seems that Brian is not being treated by Angus (who is the boss) with the respect he really deserves. And I wouldn't want to see GNR without Axl.

Anyway Axl will have the time of his life and I really want to see it!

I?m just a bit worried, that?s all. And singers ... aren?t robots, they?re individuals and indeed can overblow their organism.
Anyway, I?m definitively pro this AC/DC thing, it?s gonna be awesome and also a big advertisement for Axl (not that he needs one ? but will get one anyway)... Cheesy

To a point, but like with anything else, you overdo it, performance suffers.  Not just with singers, but that's case with athletes, stage actors, porn stars, etc.  He'll likely be fine, but I can understand someone worrying about it.

I'm pretty excited with the prospect of seeing Axl fronting one of my other favourite bands of all time. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity! They - both Axl & AC/DC - aren't likely to pull this off once again - ever! I saw AC/DC here in Denmark last summer, and it was great fun - and I wish Brian the best - but you could tell that his voice wasn't exactly top notch. Having said that, I totally understand why some AC/DC fans feel that they've been screwed by the band - on the other hand, the other option would've been a total cancellation of the entire tour. Now, at least, we get to see two gargantuan legends sharing the same stage right here in Europe. Still pretty stoked about everything...

Are you for real Huh

Axl knows more about music than most I'd suggest.  Look how he's brought in musician after musician and the average fan has said "who?" Huh None have been shabby, all have done a decent job of playing what's required, don't see it being any different for songs from a band it is known he's a fan of.  At the end of the day, its like an actor learning their lines... I would just love to hear Axl sing some of there new stuff as I think it's really silly.  How many songs do they have that have rock in the title!  How many songs are about rock n roll.  Hahaha.  They are just so deep!

I would love to hear him sing big gun though.   Haha.  I like that song

My two cents: It's a mistake.  I know he's coming from a place of wanting to help out a band he loves, but he needs to heal and get ready for the biggest GNR tour in years and years.

Nah. I think the challenge of doing something new and exciting will totally revitalize him! I also think getting out there and fronting 2 of the greatest rock bands of all time with a broken foot  will inspire others to overcome their own limitations and/or disabilities! ok
Hey he was so excited about it, that he invited Eddie Trunk backstage. hihi

It may not help his foot heal like resting would.  But, I think the challenge of doing 2 hr AC/DC sets will help keep his voice in good shape for the GN'R tour.

Actually just laying around and resting is not good for your body after an injury. As long as he doesn't bear weight on his foot Axl should be just fine. ok

It's brilliant. The tour is pretty easy (in terms of scheduling). His voice will benefit from use.

I hope he nails it...

Can't believe I'm seeing Axl/DC & Guns N'Roses in the next 3 months...crazy times.
