My point is:  Let the AC/DC fans vent - especially on their own fan site!  This is happening whether they all like it or not.  As I see it, all Angus is trying to do at the moment, is honor the already scheduled AC/DC tour dates.  At some point he/they will decide to permanently replace Brian or close up shop.

If there's one person in the universe who should be able to soldier on despite some AC/DC fans having a negative opinion of him being there, it's Axl!

If there's one person in the universe who should be able to relate and assist Angus Young to get Angus and the band through this transition, it's Axl!

If there's one person in the universe who should be able to pave the way and make it an easier transition for whomever the next/permanent replacement is for Brian, it's Axl!

if there's one person who I hope takes care of his vocal chords between the two tours this summer, it's axl!

US dates will supposedly take place after the summer GNR run. I will hop on tickets as soon as the dates are announced.

Not looking to nitpick... but this certainly is a side project... I think we should move all ACDC topics.

Don't want to take anything away from GNR and their current epic run.

Really jacked to see the crowds in Mexico... they are going to lose their shit!

Being me, I will probably buy tickets from a broker so that I can be as close as I was in Las Vegas. beer

I'm seeing an overwhelming amount of negativity from AC/DC fans about his, it really blows my mind.  AC/DC is just about finished no?, Axl is doing them a solid just finishing out these tour dates for them.  I'm seeing fans all worried about AC/DC's future!! What fucking future are they talking about?   They have permanently lost 3 key members in the last 2 years.   Let's not even get into the fact about what a tremendous upgrade this is for them at the lead singer position.

I hope the AC/DC fans really do boycott these shows as they are saying, because then I can easily get tickets here in the states.  You would have had to pay me to go see AC/DC a few months ago, now I will be willing to pay a substantial amount to see them.
I think it's a mix of loyalty to Brian Johnson and a "hipster" thing to rag on someone as successful as Axl..

Nah.  I think you want self-consciously cool hipster types who won't touch acts with big mainstream success, you'd have to look elsewhere than AC/DC fans.

I don't think it has anything to do with Axl. No matter who they picked... their die hard fan base would be angry.

If anybody ever replaced Axl in GNR no matter the circumstance...we'd all go ballistic.

Brian fronted them for 40 years....

Plus... they lost Malcolm last year... now Brian, and their drummer went off the rails...

So really it's jsut Axl and Angus playing ACDC songs at this point...

We think this is awesome...but not hard to see why ACDC fans might not be in to this.

^Agreed.

If it were Guns in AC/DC's position, would you want [fill in your favorite singer who isn't Axl] as a replacement or would you prefer nothing?  I think I'd take nothing.  I'm guessing some AC/DC fans feel the same way.  But me not being a hard-core AC/DC fan, I think it's cool that Axl will be performing with them, so long as it doesn't affect his voice for the GNR shows.

However, I think it?s a bit unnecessary to try searching for anything deeper there ? if your doc tells you to back off or lose hearing, you goddamn back off and that?s the end of it. You don?t need anything else, personal, to be involved.

Also, I hope Axl doesn't wreck his vocal cords doing this.

I agree.  We would in no way roll with this.

Look how many of our number we lost replacing the guitarist.  The vocalist is even more pronounced.

I don't get the hate against Axl. He could have said "No, I don't wanna do this" too. But he said yes (Even with a damaged foot)
