I'm seeing an overwhelming amount of negativity from AC/DC fans about his, it really blows my mind.  AC/DC is just about finished no?, Axl is doing them a solid just finishing out these tour dates for them.  I'm seeing fans all worried about AC/DC's future!! What fucking future are they talking about?   They have permanently lost 3 key members in the last 2 years.   Let's not even get into the fact about what a tremendous upgrade this is for them at the lead singer position.

I hope the AC/DC fans really do boycott these shows as they are saying, because then I can easily get tickets here in the states.  You would have had to pay me to go see AC/DC a few months ago, now I will be willing to pay a substantial amount to see them.

It surprises me more that GNR fans are surprised how upset some AC/DC fans are over someone in their band being replaced.  hihi

Didn't surprise me one bit.  Again, all of us here know how it feels.  Multiple times over.

It actually works in our favour !  We get to see Axl in a month's time !

That is funny, but these are completely different circumstances no?  Brian Johnson can no longer physically perform ever again.  Axl is stepping in to finish these tour dates.  Nobody is really being replaced here, it's either Axl or someone steps in for Brian Johnson or AC/DC ceases being a band immediately.

People would rather have a canceled show than to have a mega-star of Axl's caliber step in.. We are talking an icon, not some winner of an audition type game show...

My point is:  Let the AC/DC fans vent - especially on their own fan site!  This is happening whether they all like it or not.  As I see it, all Angus is trying to do at the moment, is honor the already scheduled AC/DC tour dates.  At some point he/they will decide to permanently replace Brian or close up shop.

If there's one person in the universe who should be able to soldier on despite some AC/DC fans having a negative opinion of him being there, it's Axl!

If there's one person in the universe who should be able to relate and assist Angus Young to get Angus and the band through this transition, it's Axl!

If there's one person in the universe who should be able to pave the way and make it an easier transition for whomever the next/permanent replacement is for Brian, it's Axl!

As a big AC/DC fan myself... I think this is pretty damn cool. ok I can understand why a lot of their fanbase are pissed off, but at least they're getting something. This could be the last time that Angus, a rock icon in his own right, gets to do his thing on the big stage.

I think it's a case of board members getting their opinion in..my guess is these gigs will do just fine.

I had Manchester tickets..just booked a cheeky trip to Marseille as well! 🤘

I don't get the hate either. This is fucking ROCK HISTORY people!!! Angus and AC/DC have never had a guest artist before. Axl has never been a guest artist before. Honestly, Brian was losing his voice anyway. Don't believe me, just listen:

The only thing I really care about is Axl for the GNR tour. I am starting to think him singing with AC/DC in-between now and the Guns tour, is more of positive because he'll be in mid touring shape when the GNR stuff starts. The negative to me is, I don't want this to interfere with any potential Guns projects, tours ... down the line.

That is funny, but these are completely different circumstances no?

Only to you, someone who doesn't care and admittedly would never have gone to see AC/DC even if "someone paid you".  So of course, someone who admits that he never cared about the band isn't going to be able to look at it through the eyes of AC/DC fans.

Quote
Brian Johnson can no longer physically perform ever again.  it's either Axl or someone steps in for Brian Johnson or AC/DC ceases being a band immediately.

Then I can understand some fans wanting the band to retire, instead of continuing to disintegrate into a band full of replacements of the band members they know and love.  It's already been hard on them losing Phil and Malcolm, and now their frontman too?

Like I said,  AC/DC is finished, they are at the end of their run.  Nobody is replacing Brian Johnson, he physically can not perform anymore.  Axl is doing this band a solid by stepping in, therefore yes I think fans should be happy about that. The most aggravating thing is that the fans are very vocal that they would prefer to have a singer from an AC/DC tribute band instead of Axl.  They aren't upset about replacing Brian Johnson, they are mad Axl is the one doing it.  Like I said, the band is done, if you are a fan and haven't seen AC/DC by now I don't feel bad for you.  You had thousands of chances.  I say let the AC/DC fans decide, if they want to show up to the shows great, if not, lots of GNR fans will.

It is not like it is 1988, and AC/DC just replaced Brian Johnson and going to on for another 30 years.  As of right now, this is just honoring some tour dates, big fucking deal.  It is no surprise that you of all people are agreeing with those fans as you have never struck me as much of an Axl fan to begin with.

Hopefully Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators and Loaded can open!

Or Velvet Revolver can reform with Brian Johnson while the boys are waiting for Axl.  hihi

I think it's a mix of loyalty to Brian Johnson and a "hipster" thing to rag on someone as successful as Axl..
