Busy year for Axl.

First the AC/DC dates in Europe in May/June, then two months with GN'R, then presumably the rescheduled AC/DC shows in the US, then the rest of the world with GN'R.

Damn... All while recovering with a broken foot.

I hope that there are only 10 AC/DC concerts with Axl as singer. He should put the main focus on his own band?

He will do the 10 remaining US shows + the European dates coming up now in May

I wonder what AC/DC will do after those shows? It is clear Brian cannot continue. Call it a career? Find a new singer? Axl isn't gonna join full time.

I doubt he'll become the new lead singer of AC/DC full time. It sounds like he just offered his services for the rescheduled dates. I'd think they'd try to find a permanent replacement afterwards. It's probably easier to get people to go to the shows with a big name like Axl then ask their fans to accept a permanent new lead singer mid tour.

I heard Angus wants to continue for years to come, so I'd expect them to look for a permanent replacement. Axl fills the void on the fly for now.

Very cool.  Cool

I wonder which GNR song AC/DC might pick to include as a "cover"

Yeah replacing Brian with someone that possibly nobody knows mid tour would likely wouldn't go over well at all. Should be interesting to see who they do find to fill the spot permanently. Replacing a singer isn't easy.

Ok

April 1 until April 23 - GN'R
May 7 until June 12 - AC/DC
June 23 until August 22 - GN'R

(I haven't included the 10 us-concerts with AC/DC because the specific dates aren't confirmed yet)

Not really an overtaxing schedule. There are plenty of breaks in there. For once, AXL has a side project to work on during his downtime from Guns.

Mixed feelings. In some ways - great, we'll get to hear Axl sing 15 or so songs we've never heard him sing before and that has happened once in the last couple of decades. That said, announcing this now seems a bit like pissing in your own Cheerios. Takes the focus off the GNR reunion somewhat. Either way, interesting times.

Yeap, wise choice, tell Axl what he should do. We all know he'll do as he pleases and let's be honest, who wouldn't fuckin' wanna be the lead singer for AC FUCKIN' DC even for a few dates?

Especially when people doubt him all the time? It's gonna be a great chance for Axl to prove them wrong...

Not sure about that. It will probably only add to the anticipation of the stadium shows. Instead of Axl going into hiding for 2 months, he'll be front and center onstage keeping busy. Any and all reviews will make mention of the upcoming GNR shows. I don't really see the downside.

When his foot will be ok? Will he do all these AC/DC dates (and GNR too?) sitting in a chair?

Some side project!  hihi

Normally the band guys venture on something on the side, doing some clubs around the country. Axl starts off his side-career going to Europe doing stadiums with fucking AC/DC!

Hahaha
