Brian has the consistency we're not getting from Axl for a long time.
Not much use to him now though. He's even almost 15 years older Anyway brian sings barely 2 (high) notes, axl has 5 octaves, get it  Sure. But this is why the acdc fans are bashing Axl. They are used to consistency, so they're pointing out all of Axl's inconsistent performances over the years. And it's also the reason some of us are worried about him doing the shows. Brian's voice is not the most spectacular one, but at least he does what he's supposed to do. The fans can count on that. |

Exactly right. I have had friends text me links or post them on FB of Axl from the past few years, with some sort of comment along the lines of "dude, what the hell happened here". And what's my response? I really have none. I've never tried the trusty approach we sometimes use that you can't trust YouTube, because its ridiculous, so I really have no way to explain it away. |

For what it's worth, a buddy of mine who lives in Georgia texted me this earlier today:
Just got this in an email from a record store in atlanta.
"After Axl Rose was spotted with AC/DC at a rehearsal studio here in Atlanta, rumors have swirled that he was the new singer for the legendary Australian rockers. In reality, however, AC/DC found Brian Johnson's heir a week earlier. Angus Young--looking for a low-key dive bar where he could remain incognito--opted to take in a local show at 529, where he saw Lilac Shades melt face. Young offered Decatur CD's own Isaac Bishop the gig right on the spot. He'll be with us for one more week before beginning rehearsals. While you might think that we'd be happy for Isaac, we're mostly just upset that he abandoned us with Record Store Day on the horizon."
