Do you guys think people would go as far as to go to these shows and boo Angus?

Sounds stupid, I know.  But we live in a world where people were buying GNR tickets to hold up "Where's Slash?" signs.

Last thing we need is some asshat pelting Axl with something from the crowd.  We know how that's going to go.

Yes it is stupid.  Why do you always focus on negative shit?

I don't think this is negative - I think it's entirely possible and very likely that a few fans will want to wind axl up. Given his reputation and the fact the Acdc fans aren't exactly over the moon about this, some will see this as good sport without doubt and see what impact they can have.

Yep.

^ Axl singing Thunderstruck. (supposedly) Smiley

Ordered my ticket for the show in Vienna. Can't wait!!

OMG if this is real, then his voice is absolutely unbelievable! Why does he sing SCOM and YCBM the way he does when he can do this!?

If its really him...he is forcing his voice too much...and its just rehearsals...it sounds awesome all these screams and high notes...but makes me worry for the upcoming GNR tour...hope he doesnt screw his voice.  nervous

For me Axl is was the reason I have always been a GNR on that basis once they are on tour and decent recordings hit then net for me it will be like having a brand new album, I've been pretty damn excited about it! a little bit clearer version of the rehearsal but not by much, https://soundcloud.com/joshua-fleener/axl-roseac-dc

Axl's been a professional singer for 30 years, he knows what he's doing.

Don't worry.

Of course he does. But there's always this other possibility that it all went south because I thought I knew what I was doing.

I don't see that happening but I understand some people's concern about too much workload. People, some big managers and bosses, go on sick leaves for six months because their head can't take it anymore, burned out. Hopefully, this amazing instrument will last.

I don't think 19 shows and some rehearsals in the span of 2 1/2 months up to the GN'R tour starts will cause any problems.

Thank you. Sounds awesome, very high range. Reminded me of that 2007 era when Axl recorded with Bach.

Axl has never done this in his career. I think he will take this very seriously.

No one's saying this is not serious. It's all about standing on two chairs and getting through it.

Honestly, if you think joining AC/DC won't wear out his voice, you're just naive, sorry. Axl's vocals are demanding and so are Brian Johnson's. He already lost some power from the first show in LA to Coachella week 2. Literally every tour he's ever done, his voice has wore out by the end. Compare 2010 to 2014. And as I said before, there's no picking what songs are easiest for you tonight with AC/DC, they have a stable setlist. And it's easy to strain your voice trying to sing songs you're not familiar with. Brian Johnson had to sing in a different register every tour because of how straining their high voltage style is.

Anyone who thinks the AC/DC tour will actually make him sound better just does not understand how human vocal chords work.

I must say I agree Permission to Land (great album by a great band, by the way; Justin could have done the ACDC gig too lol), that's why I'm going to see AxlDC at the beginning of the tour in Seville, then hopefully Guns n Roses when they come to Europe. Grin

This thing with AC will do a positive thing in GNR. More training, more activity gets the machine oiled.

... u will see.

i've heard his voice actually gets better as tours go on.

either way, im sure he wouldn't do it if he couldn't handle it. this reunion thing is just too big and important for guns' comeback for him to take any major risk. that'd be my guess.

i guess we'll soon find out.

It's like any muscle the more you train in the stronger it gets. The key is to use it correctly! And guess what..when people moan about a lack of rasp that's because Axl isn't engaging a restriction in the throat...which isn't a bad thing when it comes to not harming your voice.

I think these AC/DC gigs are going to be incredible.
