NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) ? Verizon Arena has announced that they will reveal a surprise musical performance added to their lineup.

This surprise announcement has created quite the stir, even in the THV11 newsroom.

If it were up to you, who would you want to see come to Verizon Arena?

?Mary J. Blige,? said Kelly Polk.

?I would have to say Eminem,? said Braden Scott.

?Bon Iver, of course,? said Dawn Merrell.

?My dream artist would be Fantasia Barrino. I love her,? said Shacara Jones.

Anxious waiting comes after the concert venue announced they will reveal a surprise artist on Wednesday.

?It's not every day that somebody chooses to come to Arkansas, so I'm pretty excited,? said Scott.

?She's an excellent artist, and she's never been to Arkansas,? said Jones.

Not knowing captures people's attention, and the arena is taking advantage of the hype.

?People are posting all over Facebook with their guess, it's a way for people to interact and have some fun with something like this,? said Michael Marion, General Manager of Verizon Arena.

Marion says this will be the third surprise artist reveal at Verizon.

?We don't wear out this little routine of 'hey we got this big announcement,? said Marion.

The two surprise performance artists to come to Verizon arena in the past were Garth Brooks and Jimmy Buffett. Both of these artists gave the arena sold out shows.

?I feel comfortable it'll help our sales because more people are tuning in to find out who it is,? said Marion.

The THV11 newsroom picked four viable options, including: Guns N? Roses, Prince, Dolly Parton and Phil Collins.

On Twitter we took a poll, with Guns N? Roses taking an overwhelming lead.

Verizon is giving little detail about who it's going to be.

?I'll be real safe in saying its going to be this year,? said Marion.

They won?t even reveal the genre.

?We?re staying real quiet. We're going to be real coy about it and just say it's going to be big,? said Marion.

Verizon said it's an artist that doesn't have their whole tour booked and posted online for the next year.

It?s someone who has sporadic performance dates posted online or keeps tour completely offline.

The reveal is Wednesday, March 9 at 8 a.m.

If this is GN'R, maybe that's the time they'll reveal all the tour dates ? March 9.

Verizon said "it's going to be big". So it's obviously Dolly Parton. hihi

If we are only going by the 4 the newsroom picked, I would think it has to be GNR.

I sure wish Dallas had a new arena opening.  That way maybe they might play there before playing in the stadium that the Cowboys play in.  There has never been a show there that had a good review of the sound. Even good bands have had less than great reviews of how they sounded and it was mainly the way the building bounces the sound around.    Garth Brooks could have sold out multiple dates even at the Cowboy stadium but he did 7 shows in five days, I think was the count, vs. going to the stadium.

Looks like it's Paul McCartney (ticket on-sale date is listed in the event calendar on Verizon Arena's website).

Won't know for sure until tomorrow though.

Well, Paul is bigger news than GNR.

Gotta be fair.

No it's not. Not talking about legacy, but Paul is way more consistent playing tours. And this is not just a regular GNR tour.

He's a Beatle... It's a big deal overtime he tours. There are only two of them left (the 5th Beatle George Martin died today), and he is part of the song writing duo... so every year and every tour that passes could be the last.

This is my favorite band, but it's not the Beatles.
