If the confirmation of the reunion/regrouping has taught us anything, it's where there's smoke, there's often fire.  ok

Time for CD-lineup to release Chinese Democracy = 15 years
Time for classic lineup to release new album = 15 weeks  rofl

Question is, is it entirely new recordings, or Slash laying down guitar over some unreleased Chi Dem era tracks? I'd be just as happy with either, really.

Hmm, what about the songs Richard talked about, originating back to Slash?

Could be. Axl said in the chats, he still had Slash's demos/recordings for what would've been the next 90s era GNR album.  Who knows what he has?

Same here.  I'm in total "take what I can get" mode with this band anymore.

Whatever it winds up being, bring it on.  It's all new to me.

It's from the "The Real Story Behind Their Return" article.

That's what I thought. So this article it's just a copy/paste. The news about Slash recording can be found in The Real Story article then

If Slash is recording on Chinese era tracks, it would basically be the album Axl wanted to make in the mid 90s, which is a little ironic.  Ironic, and something I'd LOVE to hear.

It's from the same publisher, so they've concentrated on this specific quote from the original article to make a new one. Hence making a "news item" from their longer piece.

This one is being picked up by other media now, the original full article was not.

Why you assume Slash is working on Chinese songs?. It also can be songs that Slash have been working lately by his own or Duff's songs. Then Axl listens that ideas and contribute with his. That's exactly how old Guns work isn't?.. anyway, looking forward!  beer

I'm not really assuming anything.  But since we know dick-all about what, if anything, is being worked on I'm just spitballing about what it realistically could be.

Great! I hope it is NON-Cd era stuff, or at least more straight ahead CD stuff.

I know in my heart there's a few really good songs that got dusted away from 1995/96. Bring those back and drop a quick album!?

lol I wish

Great news. Not sure I'm shocked by this news because Slash is now a member of GNR again.

"Meanwhile, Vereecke hints the band will play tracks from 2008's Chinese Democracy along with late-80s and early-90s material when their planned reunion gets underway in April with two Las Vegas shows."

Uhm... What other material would there be to play? What am I missing here? hihi
