As to what caused one of the deepest rifts in rock history, Tyler wouldn't divulge any details. "I get the whole thing," he said, noting the feud went much deeper than brotherly betrayal or a clash of egos.

To Steven's credit, he isn't pushing the notion that he was behind the reunion.

He basically says this is something he wanted to happen for years, and has often said that to Axl/Slash.

But...you have to admit...it seems like every day we're getting a new article about some new person who weighs in that they somehow had some effect on "the big three" coming back together under the GnR banner.

Would anything make sense?  I don't think anything could.

I'm trying to imagine a scenario where we might here something and say "wow, makes sense now".

I just don't see that happening.

Steven Tyler actually came across as somewhat humble, and even classy, in that short clip. He didn't make claims he was solely responsible or whatever, he just gave his point of view.
He didn't discuss private matters that are not his to discuss in public.  ok

Regarding everybody else who likes to take credit for it, yeah, they probably met Axl sometime somewhere and had the highly original idea "you guys should get back together!". And voila, here we are in 2016!  hihi

I can see Steven Tyler saying something to both of them since has known both. I agree it was classy that he kept his mouth shut and not reveal what happened.

I wonder what Marc Canter thinks about Slash and Duff rejoining the band.  He was one of the most vocal supporters of a reunion over the past few years and apparently was on Axl's blacklist for awhile.  He seems to be keeping quiet - or at least I've missed it if a recent interview exists.
