If they keep up the current average of about $5 mill gross per show, they'll be in the top 3 of the all-time top-grossing concert tours when completing the currently scheduled shows.

They'll reach around $500mill, only beaten by Rolling Stones' Bigger Bang Tour ($558mill) and U2's 360 Tour ($736mill) at #1.

Though, if they keep on going after September... who knows.

Guns N' Roses will then have played 98 shows.
Rolling Stones played 144 shows.
U2 played 110 shows.

I believe this round it's 4 tickets. Not 100% sure.

The GN'R On Tour! section has been updated with threads for each European show, and the one in Israel. North American shows are next: http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?board=4.0

Jeez, how the fuck is U2 raking in that kind of dough? They had a few hits, but in my mind they should be more on the level of Smashing Pumpkins of something.

Way more hits than GNR ever had. Not even close.

I see this all the time... When someone is not a fan of a band they tend to unintentionally ignore the volume of good/popular/successful (choose your term) material that they have put out. I have noticed this with myself recently. I was in high school in the 90's... GnR was still popular even late 94-early 96... but because I was sitting waiting for the follow up of UYI and boarder line sulking over 'Grunge' and my perception of it compared to GnR I was ignoring a lot of music. Recently I have been listening to 'Lithium' on SiriusXM and realizing that I actually like a lot of the music from that time frame and am finally realizing just how many really good songs a lot of these other bands from that time period had.

With U2 for example it took a half time appearance at the Super Bowl to get me to pay more attention to them. The song Beautiful Day got mixed with highlights of the Patriots winning the Super Bowl so I grew to like the song, which got me listening to more of their music.

I'm sure this happens in other fan bases, but I find it very funny just how critical of other bands and other genres of music GnR fans tend to get.

You summed myself up totally.

I had my musical blinders up in my early years.   Only listening to one fragment of music.   I would always wonder why certain bands where really this big.

Cold play is another example of this.

While I am still not a U2 fan, I can see why they are this big.   Garth Brooks success still give me questions though, haha

Scored 6 tickets to the St. Louis.  So far I've gone to Vegas twice, Chicago twice, Moline, and Kansas City.  Finally, after 15 years of traveling, they are coming to my town.

A second London gig was added where there was a clear gap. That was not a coincidence, it was already planned but they wanted to see how the first one sells. And it probably sold quite well because it didn't take many hours to confirm it.

There are no gaps anymore and this means no other shows despite the current ones selling out as well.

I'd imagine those shows with 3/4 days in between them are always a possibility and no doubt many have options to extend, London was always gonna be 2 nights. How do I know, you ain't gonna do a Friday show and give up the Saturday market, it would have, but doubt it been a different matter had the Saturday show been advertised as the original date.
