I honestly do not think any band in the world could of pulled off this successful us summer tour.   Huge crowds in so many cities.    So much money made.   It was last year when at/sx only did a handful of us shows that people were talking about how live music was dead in the states.     It was pretty cool to see live

Happy that the rest of the world is going to get a crack at this monster show now.

South Africa have suitable stadiums but of course it's quite understandable that the whole continent is skipped as the rest simply don't have proper facilities.

The Rolling Stones did it last summer although it was 15 dates. I caught two shows and they were great.
Not taking anything away from GnR. I also saw two of their shows this summer and they were amazing.

The best thing about this tour, I think, is that it will make future tours easier sells.

We won't have to hear how they come on late, storm off stage, or any of that stuff.

This was really one of the more professional shows I've seen in terms of just getting on with it and delivering every night.

I'd bet money on big stadium/arena tour in the US fall 2017, with Europe in the summer.

I'm not sure the U.S. will get any more shows in 2017.

Unless they did an arena tour, focusing on cities that didn't get a stadium show.

Didn't Eddie Trunk say that Duff eluded that there would be more touring in the states next year?  I think a fall arena tour is not outside the realm of possibilities.  Depends on whether they focus on recording after hitting other countries in '17, or whether they're more content just keeping the tour machine going.

I like the part when he says Duff told him something like "everything is fine, we're playing stadiums, I got my band back..."
I got my band back. Amazing to hear that. It really is their band.

Regarding Izzy's absence he says "sometimes everybody isn't fully onboard with what is going on".

I can see a fall tour in 2017. They still have to hit MSG, Prudential Center, and Barclays in the Tri-State area.

Arena tours allow a little more flexibility in terms of cities they weren't able to hit during the stadium tour. I expect that it would be a little more diverse next time out, probably hitting more Canadian cities as well.

Way I see, Izzy wasn't down with the big time touring when he was 29.  Not sure how things would be different/easier on him at 54. Not to mention, the other members are all touring vets.  When was the last time Izzy did a proper tour?  Not trying to tear Izzy down, only saying that there was never much of a chance he'd be involved in a full time capacity.

I'd be more concerned with Izzy's absence if they were actually going to try an album.

Live?  Not as crucial.

Exactly, Izzy is a must for a new GNR record at least for me. A few guest live appearances here and there would be awesome!

Sure, I agree. But what I got from what Eddie said is that maybe he didn't want to show up not even as a guest? Just speculating.

All we know from the inside is that there is no set end date to this one of the most amazing circuses the world has ever known.

Anything can happen and fall 2017 goes into planning later.

So this is the guy we have to thank for this amazing tour:

https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155212587504148&set=a.10150090847344148.297177.710899147&type=3

I know Axl said he started working again with Ron for the ACDC tour, but it looks like he got Ron back last year. Ron tweeted on April 2015: https://twitter.com/ronanderson101/status/585913157169778688
Why the hell would he send Ron a copy of CD, out of the blue, after twenty years without working with the guy?

Looks like Axl has been working hard for a while for this GNR tour! Really deserves all the praises.

With all due respect to Izzy and what he contributed to start the GNR history I want Richard Fortus around long term. I think he has earned the right to be a part of this band for as long as it continues on. I love his stage presence. Plus I think he would work extremely well with slash if they decide to do new material. Izzy was a great song writer I think Richard is a better player and performer.
