Is that second Mexico show close to a sell out yet?

Pretty close. I'd estimate about 98-99% sold out.

Ref. www.ticketmaster.com.mx

Yep thanks.   It looks that way to me as well, from that seating map

April 21, Monterrey, Mexico @ BBVA Bancomer Stadium  (R)

This would be about four weeks away, and also mean three shows in a row.

Common sense would say that it's unlikely at this point?

Anything scheduled for April 1st, considering it's April Fools Day, I would take with a HUGE grain of salt without pretty heavy confirmation.

I mean, it would be a pretty funny April Fools Joke BY the band, too...but, IDK...I wouldn't take this as "for sure" quite yet. Wink

This might as well be nothing, or not related to GN'R anyways. But maybe.

The Troubadour just postponed a Wednesday, March 30th show with Rita Wilson at The Troubadour due to "unforeseen circumstances".

She has a full tour booked and this show seem to be the only one canceled. Looking at her twitter and website she hasn't mentioned this yet. On The Troubadour's website it says "we are postponing due to unforeseen circumstances". The wording makes me think this is on the initiative of the venue, not the artist.

Great, great news for the U.S.

No Los Angeles date. Wow.

Hopefully, they'll surprise the home crowd with a warm-up show.

At first I thought it could be because of a radius clause from Coachella, but that would include San Diego as well... So not sure.

They can do a warm-up show at any time. A full-scale show would have to wait until late-July.

Usually those clauses are done to make sure a show will sell out, biggest example of this I can think of was in 2003 Metallica were booked to headline Reading and Leeds weekend, and then played an unannounced set at Download, and then not long after Reading announced shows for the UK later in the year.

When you're that big you can avoid being tied to one show in an area. And this GnR tour is far bigger than Metallica were in 2003

GN'R did that in 2006. They were announced to headline Download, then played the surprise show at Hammersmith Apollo before the festival, followed by a full UK tour the following month...
