any more updates about the may 29th date in lisbon? let it be true ok but not on RiR nervous

I thought Avicii was headlining that day?

there are other places to play in lisbon besides Rock in rio... Meo Arena as an example

Where does the rumor of a May 29 show in Lisbon come from?

last i heard mygnr forums...

Yeah, but the rumor was for RIR Lisbon, all headliners have been announced as far as I can see.

Even if the Philly date is not exactly correct, at least this appears they are on the list of cities.

Which is a relief.  Really didn't want to schlep it up to MetLife.

I get the travel yuck, but...been up there, since it opened?

They did a really nice job up there...lots of amenities.  I'm waffling between there and Boston (assuming Foxboro)...Metlife has better stuff, but harder to get in and out of.

I miss the old Giants Stadium. It had character to it. MetLife is bland with the all gray look to it.  I wish they did MetLife in Giants colors. Also for $1.6 billion, a roof should have been added. As a NJ resident, I would have love to see winter events there and have it generate some money.

...but was pointed out after I posted this on my FB page, that is the same week the Democrat National Convention is here.

Well Fargo Center is right next to Lincoln Financial Field.  Traffic could be a fiasco.

I just don't know about the parking.  The lots aren't exactly connected, but the area is all right on top of each other.

Have to think the DNC would like to be able to use the Linc's lots, and are probably not looking for 40,000 GNR fans to be there at the same time.

But, as I said in that first post, I just want Philly on the list of cities.  I'll work all that other shit out later.

I'm so hungry for something new and fresh from Guns N' Roses.

3/5 members are back in man. This is just so exciting. I want to know who is going to be in... and the USA shows so badly.

Like I just can't wait.

Why couldn't they  just get in the studio for like 2-3 days and release a new single or something? That would get lots of play right now, and even if the single is mediocre it would be a hit I think.

Sadly, I'm starting to think this USA tour is going to hit only the major cities... It really seems like it.

Philly
Chicago
New York
Boston
DC maybe?
Dallas
Atlanta maybe?

Since I hear they are all about playing back to back nights on these shows.

Looks like places such as Louisville, Nashville and Indy are out?? WHo knows

The Stones did something similar during their 2013 US tour. Multiple shows in big markets, leading many fans to travel.  Might be more financially sound touring that way nowadays.  Certainly easier on a huge touring act.

I still think Indy would considered a major market.  They could play Lucas Oil.

I'm down with that, and they deserve that after blowing probably 1/2 of the tour funds for the UYI tour for lateness and cancelled gigs and the huge stage setup.

playing huge markets back to back nights in limited fashion almost gurantees stadium sellout by themselves. If not a sell out then we're talking 40,000+ easy.

And no arena holds more than 20k or so.

I live close to Nashville/Atlanta/Louisville. Hoping they hit one of those "huge" markets lol

I wouldn?t rule out Indianapolis. They performed there in 2011 and Axl seemed to actually enjoy it. It was a pretty good show

The Billboard info says 25 cities.

Eddie M predicts around 13 cities with potential back-to-back shows.

If they max out that could result in near 40 dates total.

Correction: The Billboard article said 25 football stadiums.

Hard to say if they meant 25 different stadiums or 25 total ? where some stadiums are played twice.

Nissan Stadium in Nashville is just 2 hours and change from louisville and 4 hours from Atlanta and 3 hours from Memphis

Be a great spot to bust back to back or just 1 show.

68,000 capacity roughly. I can't remember exactly how much
