Oh well, was a long shot anyway.

Rumour over on other forum suggest at best limited Euro dates this year, more likely next year. So, guessing an O2 Arena/Wembley gig in UK?

Anyone else figure Axl pulled out from JKL because there really weren't any need for promotion at that time. Coachella had probably sold out 75% already during the summer sale. When the remaining tickets were released in the beginning of the year, history tells us these will sell out no matter what.

Knowing Axl, he would probably rather save his public appearances until it really matters, it didn't at that time.

With stadium dates supposedly coming up, and should be believe sources, the North American tour could stretch as far as mid-September, I figure there will be a major nationwide PR-campaign to go with it. An Axl appearance at a talkshow makes way more sense once such a big tour gets announced. To boost it even more, maybe a Axl/Duff/Slash appearance would do the trick.

Looking at some rumored dates, we are talking about stadiums, some places with an option for 2nd nights in said stadiums, we're talking about an amount in the vicinity of 100,000+ tickets in one city. The power of reuniting the key players of GN'R is great, but I think they'll need some serious promotion to back this up. It will be very interesting and exciting to see what unfolds next.

For us, the real upside to this (promotion) is the good possibility of many new interviews with the guys and Axl in particular. We will buy tickets no matter what.

Axl pulling out of the Jimmy Kimmel show last minute is PR, same as if he appeared. It's all band promotion and any news is good news in terms of PR. It hypes the fans up more by being made wait.

Beyonce just announced a May 16 date at Levi's Stadium. I suspect this was the concert that got the girl scout event moved.

Well so much for that then. I guess June or later for US dates.

Eddie's original info was early May for San Fransisco, plus late April for Dallas. So, that could still happen I guess.

One new rumored date added. Thanks again to Eddie.

Is that the Boston one?

Interested in that because its up my way.  If true, it at least gives me an idea when they might be stopping by.

Quite a long time frame though.  With shows suggested as early as May and as late as the end of August...that's a lot of downtime.

Yeah, I wrote Boston although the rumor said Foxborough, and the only venue I found to be there was Gillette Stadium.

Eddie Money over at mygnr suggested that the North American tour could run as far as mid-September, with dates mainly in the weekends.

That would be awesome.

On a weekend, I don't care when they go on.  Still think its ridiculous going onstage at 11PM or some shit, but a lot easier to deal when you don't have to be at work like 6 hours after the concert ends.

Weekend dates would be great. That would be the only chance I'd be able to see them anyways really unless they play in my backyard.

They are older now. All in their 50s. Slash is the youngests and he just turned 50 last year. So playing that crazy schedule like UYI is long long gone.

I'll just be thrilled to see them live, and get ANY new music I've not heard yet.
