Hope everyone that's going to shows are letting Jarmo know in those threads. It's fun to see how many are attending, and it makes it easier for meet-ups before the shows.

Personally, when, and if, they come to the UK, I hope that it's on an arena/stadium tour rather than a festival.  Fair enough, I'd do my best to go but I wanna go watch Guns n' Roses, not a whole lotta bands before them.

Could gnr still fill stadiums in the UK, solo?

Last two tours have been arenas, and in London two nights at the O2.
Several hard rock bands that tour in Europe during the summer months are booked into stadiums. And they aren't on the singles chart.

Not sure of the origin, but it's listed here:

I vaguely remember reading about rumors of Slane Castle. Anyone got links for that?

If I remember that correctly, we can put it up as a rumor.

I'd like to think so but, failing that, then I'd be quite happy with an arena tour.  Anything to see them solo really.

Thanks!

I saw that article actually, but I thought there was another, more recent one. I think there were some comments from a promoter in the UK and Wembley Stadium might also have been mentioned.

Now Slane Castle is in Ireland, yes? So I'm not sure if the English promoters have anything to do with shows in Ireland, I might remember incorrectly in that case.

Those dates seem very spread out. Unless they're planning on playing the April shows, spending the summer touring Europe, then doing North America in the fall. Which would potentially rule out stadium dates. No way do they go back and forth between continents over the Summer though.

In other words, the rumored ones may not pan out. Guess we'll see.

If the European summer festival dates are true then I guess the USA tour is not going to be over the "Summer".

If Billboard is right I reckon USA tour then hit Europe around August for Reading/Leeds. I really hope they hit arenas for multiple nights rather then stadiums!

The Wembley show was muted for 2017 as was headlining Download. My hunch is the classic  5 will do Appetite in its entirety on some big venues in 2017.

If you strike out the Isle of Wight Festival, you're left with maybe July/August in Europe.

Seems plausible. A few exclusive concerts.

The second leg of the European tour in 2010 started at reading in August and went on until October. Perhaps it might be the same again.

I'm not convinced "Reading" is a good idea after 2010 BUT GN'R & Chilli Peppers is a pretty great line up.
