Being a Dane, I jumped the gun(s!) and bought myself a ticket for the entire festival. Iggy would be cool to see as well.

That?s not bad at all, in Euros I mean. But GN?R is not confirmed yet. If they are confirmed at some point, I?m going

Someone met Slash in a movie theater and asked him about the rumored stadium tour.

http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/movies/2016/01/23/sundance-moonstruck-by-operation-avalanche.html

SUNDANCING: I also caught Friday night?s hot-ticket midnight world premiere of Babak Anvari?s Under the Shadow, a horror film set in the Tehran of 1988 during the Iran-Iraq War, with a mother and daughter dodging bombs as well as an evil presence in their home.

Judging from the gasps and applause in the Egyptian Theatre, and the constant festival buzz, it?s destined to be this year?s breakout horror hit at Sundance.

Sitting in my row at the very back of the theatre was rocker Slash, a horror fan and guitarist for the reconvened rock gods Guns N? Roses.

I asked him if GNR will make it to Toronto on a hoped-for stadium tour of the original lineup. He smiled, shrugged and said, ?I have no idea.?

But he seemed to enjoy Under the Shadow, which I?ll have more to say about later.

There's been some talk about a Brazilian promoter trying to get them to play here in October. It first talks about the Alternative Nation rumor about the South American leg, but then it goes with this (I translated to English, so appologies for the fuckups):

Backstage info: a big concert promoter in Brazil (probably the biggest) that already worked with Guns N' Roses in Brazil is trying (attention to the word) to bring the band in October, in a not so extensive leg like the last time in 2014, but going beyond the South-SouthWest; one of the stops would be the Man? Garrincha Stadium in Bras?lia. Confirmation or deny would be made before July.

Source (in Portuguese): http://whiplash.net/materias/news_795/237300.html

They played at the Man? Garrincha Stadium in Brasilia in 2010, I guess, and even played Scraped there.

It was Nilson Nelson Gymnasium (2010 and 2014).  Wink

Man? Garrincha Stadium was reconstructed and re-opened in 2013.

It was used for the 2014 Word Cup and will be used as a football venue during the Summer Olympics later this year.

Capacity: 72,788

Now, take this with a pinch of salt, there's a rumor of Mexico City in May on mygnr.

This is from a user named Eddie Money, as far as I know an unconfirmed insider. I know what we all feel about insiders, but a few are real so I'll put it up. It's only rumors anyways...

I can add, he also talked about the rumored US tour. Apparently 25 cities are booked, with openings for second dates in several of them ? which could end up being 40 dates in total.
