I would suspect Duff was the driving force behind this too but at the end of the day this is happening because all three of them have decided - for whatever reasons - to put the past behind them and go forward together and that only happens if all three are comfortable with it.

Axl, Slash and Duff (and Izzy, Steven and even Matt) have been fielding reunion questions since they broke up and I'm sure more than just these people coming out and stating it's down to them have tried or mentioned it to them over the years.

A book. Or, if they all were willing to give an interview, I think it would have been very interesting to hear about the process and their thoughts about reuniting.

Howard Stern,Eddie Trunk or even better Jamey Jasta's podcast is a better place for a full enlightening chat.

Put it that context, I think it's all on Axl.

Because I think Slash or Duff would have done this years ago.  But with Axl still calling Slash "a cancer best removed" as recently as a few years ago, that was pretty much a sign he wasn't quite there yet.

You remember what Axl was naming Izzy back in the 1993 summer concerts ? yet 13 years later they were friendly again to the point where Izzy was a special guest on stage.
The "cancer better removed" thing got forgotten  way faster than 13 years.

Andrew Dice Clay has always been one of the world's leading experts in inflated egomania.

It's not all Axl. Team Brazil have a big part of this too.

Steven Tyler I'm sure talked to Slash a lot last summer. He did say he had nothing to do with it.

I saw Andrew Dice Clay when he opened for Guns on 6/7/14 (Vegas, last night) and he was filthy. Not just obscene, but filthy nasty dirty. In the row in front of me there was a teenager with his mom and dad. He must have been incredibly embarrassed as Clay talked about cumshots and bleached assholes.  rofl

Most people get wiser, if not smarter, as they age. It seems, though, That ADC is still a fucking idiot.

You liked him ? I mean, being dirty and nasty doesn't raise the laughter bar.
Compared to Richard Pryor, young Eddie Murphy and George Carlin he does not even qualify.

I did not say I liked him. I was making an observation and the fact that it was NOT an act to see with your parents. That is what was funny.

Indeed.  I couldn't stand Dice Clay even in his heyday, and it's primarily because he didn't (and apparently still doesn't) know the difference between nasty and funny.

Stephen Tyler said that he helped get GNR back together (Howard Stern Show). Just glad it happened/will happen?

I would bet Duff had more to do with this than most anyone else.  Except ADZ, without that ice cream there would be no Guns N' Roses today smoking

I ate some ice cream last week.  Think it's fair to say it was me who's responsible for all this.
I give you full credit sir!
