Fast forward to about 12:30

Interesting to hear that his contacts in Rolling Stone told him the same thing about no press for GNR. They are keeping a tight lid at the moment.

Not thrilled that he hinted that they won't do any press coming up...

I keep logging in every day hoping to see some interview or some quotes.

yeah, basically what we GNR megafans already knew.

promoters are still reticent to program the band in their festivals (example Pinkpop 2016)

so there's no half mesure here : Guns N'Roses must destroy Coachella, meaning, giving one
of the best GNR shows ever. a lot of pressure, especially on Axl.

Why would you conclude that Promoters were reticent to program the band? From everything that has been released it would seem, if anything there is a bidding war going on between major players like (for example) AEG and Live Nation.

I seriously doubt that dates won't go up before Coachella.

I also completely disagree that "Izzy & Steven" perhaps not being involved is such a bad thing. I'm sorry but on the two occasions Izzy was brought out to play at the O2 in 2012 I didn't exactly feel the audience was that excited (I was of course).

To be honest Duff appearing at Vegas didn't create anymore excitement than the Show the night before. The Friday show was actually busier.

It feels like a case of what can we winge about now.

I've read that Pinkpop promoter found it too risky and wanted to check Coachella
show before if true could be the opinion of others, wait & see what's coming

If this is true, I wonder what exactly he means?  No Kimmel show?  No interviews, other talk shows?  I really don't understand GNR when it comes to this.  How can it be a positive thing not to do these things?  There's got to be a reason why they choose not to promote certain ways. I know that they do promote here and there, and they are a band that doesn't need to promote as much as others. However, what exactly does Trunks comment mean...and why wouldn't they do certain things?  Is an example pulling out of Kimmel...and why?

Well there's really not much of a benefit to promote for an event that's already sold out. Maybe they want to keep things close to the vest until Coachella, or at least closer to the show. Maybe they want to let the music do the talking. Maybe they're busy creating new music and getting reacquainted with the old material. Maybe they're still working out contracts and aren't 100% sure who will be in the band, and to what extent.

True, and the more I listened to Trunk, the more it made sense.  This whole thing could go up in flames at any moment with all these different possible parties involved (slash, Adler, sorum, more recent members, etc).  Maybe they are tight lipped until they get a better feel if it's all gonna work.  This way, they don't say there gonna do certain things, only for it all to fall apart.  Which would (as usual) fall on Axls shoulders.

The same article said that the budget for the festival was 8 million Euros, so could the festival have afforded GN'R anyway? And if that was the case, is it not slightly unfair for the promoter to then say GN'R were a risky proposition when they were not a proposition in the first place? I might be reading it wrong

He kinda bothers me too.  You ever notice how he continually interrupts his guests and starts talking over them.  And then...he always has to mention that "I said this from the beginning".  Yeah we get it....you were right all along, and right most of the time.  Because he's like this....it makes it hard for me to believe that he has such "great" relationships with so many rock stars.  I wouldn't be surprised if blows smoke up our asses half the time.

We are still like 3 months away from Coachella. They have plenty of time to do interviews. Most likely they are still trying to work things out about the line up and organizing the full tour
