I'm pretty sure they'll play TIL. It has been around already in the old days and as far as I remember Slash even recorded some solo for it. And apparently it was incredible.

I'll tell ya which one is out of the question. Shackler's.... Could you even imagine??

How shocked would you be if he walked on stage with a double neck half fretless guitar and just melted faces on it?

There was a source. Some of their former producers of Chinese said it in an interview ... or the girl, which plays on harp in that song. I can't remember exactly. But I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to find it.

EDIT:
Alright, found what I meant.
It doesn't mention Slash's solo being incredible ... must have read somewhere else (if ever?). But this definitely claims that it was recorded in some form by the old band. That would also explain why Axl originally didn't want to include the song on the album, but Tommy and Robin talked him into that.

However, Slash would have been perfect for that song. I am sure of that. Tongue

The rhythm of the Song kind of resembles Shackler's at times,

And for once, Miles' voice isnt annoying ,quite possessed and inspired.

Why is it necessary to put something down in order to present what you like?

IRS
ChiDem
TWAT
possibly Rhiad or Scraped
and Going Down sung by Duff and played by Slash could actually both sound nice and also be a humble bow to Tommy Smiley

I am pretty sure Slash can play whatever the hell he wants, as long as he has freedom to do it in his own way. I don't expect him to play TWAT ending solo exactly like Buckehtead, it's not his style anyways. He would just jam around the main theme of the solo, just like he did in that Beat It performance with MJ back in the 90s - remember, the original solo is from Van Halen.

But I don't think Axl is comfortable in singing TWAT. It's a demanding song for his throat.

That's why I think the most obvious songs from CD, considering both Slash and Axl "safe zone", would be Street of Dreams, This I Love and Catcher. Maybe Better too, but that will depend on how much Richard could pull off so many leads from Bucket and if Slash would be ok with that.

I think the idea is interesting.

It would make the show(s) be about all of GN'R, not just one specific era. Maybe some would prefer it to be about one specific era, that's fine.

And if that was happening, then obviously I wouldn't be surprised if these songs were performed with their own twist to them.
Did Buckethead play the Nightrain outro solo exactly as it's on Appetite? No.

If you want to hear the songs exactly the way they were recorded, you got the records to listen to. Wink
