Nah, I doubt Matt would be too broken up about it if he were left out of this.  He has done  a lot of other stuff besides GNR in his career and has been realistic about his place in the bands history.  He's not like Steven Adler who comes across as if he has been waiting by the phone for the last 25 years.  Matt already said he wouldn't take part in a reunion without Steven being involved, that goes to show how important it is to him.

Could be because the full lineup hasn't been announced yet, so he'd be stealing thunder away from Slash and Duff just by denying his involvement.

Nah, I doubt Matt would be too broken up about it if he were left out of this.  He has done  a lot of other stuff besides GNR in his career and has been realistic about his place in the bands history.  He's not like Steven Adler who comes across as if he has been waiting by the phone for the last 25 years.  Matt already said he wouldn't take part in a reunion without Steven being involved, that goes to show how important it is to him.

Out of respect? I don't think he'd want to be the bitter guy who tries to get the attention at this point. He's a smart guy.

Maybe they want to maintain certain surprise element as to what line-up/setlist alternations might be used at the shows.

I think the three big guys are still closing some details on who will be performing with them and when. Maybe Matt still thinks he has a chance, maybe he's in talks.

But if Eddie Trunk is to be believed, Sorum would be totally out of the game. I don't know.

I'd think that any potential player has been embargo'd speech wise, and the penalty for failing to adhere to this would be to be written out of any chance of appearing.  My guess is that there will be a core band with invitations to other for certain shows, mixing it up a bit, with say Matt at one, Steven at another both at another. Just to give the audience a bit of a surprise.

Personally i think Matt and Frank will combine forces with a duel kit attack, catapulting them into a far superior rhythmic realm only attained by a select few Rock legends in the past. Adler will be on the bongo's cause he has the best smile.

It seems pretty obvious to me Frank is behind the kit. He said so in 2015 & did a Q&A on the Nightrain. Richard has SAID he's still in the band as well.

It's clear from his Twitter feed that Matt was in NYC with his wife. He hasn't flown back on GN'R business.

If Matt or Izzy were the people on stage that would have been on the press release. If there is a deal being done about Steven making guest appearances which would be cool that makes sense.
