Lol I find it hilarious that people say that. That would mean axl admitting anything he's done post illusions wasn't quality Gnr. Everything released in his mind is Gnr. And it's still axls band so in sure it's his call...
Of course everything released in his mind is GNR. I say that because with Slash being back in the band he didn't have anything to do with post illusions GNR. I expect zero post illusions GNR with Slash and rightfully so.
Slash is not the only member in the band. And Duff already agreed on playing CD songs. And the Coachella press release mentions Chinese Democracy. And it's all GNR anyways.

Slash is not the only member BUT him being back with Axl is HUGE! Those 2 were GNR. I'll make any bet they will not play any CD songs with Slash being back.

It's gotta be Jungle, guys. Orthodox, I know, but it's gotta be.
Lights out, silence.
"You know where the fuck you aaaare?"
Lights on just Slash, intro riff of jungle, crowd goes insane
"You're in the Jungle Baby"
As the riff picks up, lights go on revealing duff and rest of band
"You gonna dieeeee" (Axl storms the stage and shit gets real)

I still think nothing would beat "Pretty Tied Up", even if only for the Coachella gigs. Come on:
"Once there was this rock 'n' roll band rollin' on the streets
Time went by and it became a joke, we just needed more and more fulfilling, uh-huh
Time went by and it all went up in smoke"

Espescially if Izzy is there. Come on! would be so cool! See him lurking about on that one, yeah!

Every GNR album was released by GNR, so of course they are quality! Every one.

If an indoor arena where it can be made pitch black for the intro - WTTJ
If outdoor venue - Nightrain or It's So Easy would do the damage too.

Choice #1 : Pretty Tied Up
Choice #1A : Nightrain
Never Gonna Happen Darkhorse : Reckless Life (with "hey fuckers..." intro) **
** could also be the second song

I'm thinking a very similar setlist, minus CD songs that, as recent tours..Lots of AFD, a dash of Lies followed by a sprinkle of UYI with perhaps topped off with a cover or 2...

I have always liked Nightrain as the opener. WTTJ is good, but I think it's even better later in the show when Axl just suddenly screams the familiar question. The transition from DTJ to Jungle is also pretty nice, shame they didn't use it more.

Way too cheesy to be taken seriously.
