How much were tickets for Coachella by the way?

399. a ticket- but it's a festival gig, so for that price you can see multiple bands over the weekend.

All I care about is GNR though!  beer

did know he was Great White's producer, but didn't know he tried to promote them through
Guns success...did you read it somewhere

Slash's book mentions it (yes, I know, ironic).
But if you don't believe that, there's also people like Ross Halfin (the photographer): This was the first time I photographed them West Hollywood 1987. I'd avoided doing them as their manager Alan Niven was a New Zealand hustler who imported records. All Alan cared about was Great White his other quite dreadful band.

ah! thanks, haven't read the whole Slash book, just some parts
I'm not really surprised, for what I know about the guy

No idea if this means anything, but Matt and Slash just spoke at Lemmy memorial service.

I'm pretty sure they all live in L.A. I'm sure they homes in other places like Seattle for Duff.

I'd really be shocked if Matt was involved. Steven is more likely in my opinion. In an interview Axl called Matt an "employee" not a band member. That says a lot of what Axl thought Matt contributed to the band.

If they want a competent drummer that will not be a liability it's Frank all the way. He's as solid as they come.

It's interesting to me that so many come to this forum and share opinions but don't seem to take notice of the actual news we are given. Richard did an interview that was filmed where he spoke about working through material for the next album. He stated that some was stuff Slash had done. He then did an interview where he said 2016 was going to be a great year and a "plan" was in place & yet everyone is wondering whether this is a "cash & grab your" etc etc.

There are facts are out there.

dude, wow, good point. we all assumed the slash stuff he was talking about was from the old guns period. who could have guessed that he may have been talking about more recent stuff? what a trip!

I presume it is from the 90's but that doesn't matter now that he's back.

I think the pic we are all waiting for is the one with both Axl and Slash in it. Smiley

But who was really listening to that talk from anyone not named Axl?  How many straight years did we hear that same "big year" talk?

For instance, in 2014, DJ said 2015 was going to feature a lot of touring.  2015 was a year that featured precisely zero GNR shows, of any line-up.

So couldn't you have said this same talk this time last year, based on DJ's supposed knowing what was up?

People that don't buy it are really no more of an authority on the matter than those that believe it implicitly, I suppose.

But life is a results business.  Where are the results?

I think that is a backstage picture from on of the South American show Duff played.  I feel like I remember seeing it a few years ago...  Could be misremembering  but that is where my head went as soon as I looked at it.

That woman is Andrea Julia Alvarez, she?s a drummer and vocalist in Argentina. She told me that this pic is from last time GNR played in Buenos Aires and she hooked them up for a rehearsal with Duff. I thought that was Slash?s brother in the middle but it?s Lonnie Hillyer, he played with Frank Ferrer and Richard Fortus back in the days.

Question to Jarmo,

Is this site prepared for the amount of visitors the first night of Coachella? Records might be broken... Wink

GN'R isn't even the "main attraction" in that issue. That's Kerrang! in 2016 for you...
