very exciting news!!! I hope they do a presale for the Nightrain members, and HTGTH members.  The demand is going to be crazy for this thing and I hope all the diehards are able to buy tickets if they want to go, myself included!

That full lineup for the festival is a mess! Guns n roses really don't fit in on that bill at all it has to be said. A strange choice for a festival I think.

That is how that festival has being for a very long time.  I would say ACDC was even stranger.  Silversun pickups are playing as well those dates and they are heavy guitar with lots of distortion and feedback they often get compared to early Smashing Pumpkins.  

I took a quick look at this festival when the rumour started and it is not for those on a budget unless you live in the area or are willing to travel a bit to and from the venues.  Not being negative as this has always being an expensive festival and nothing to do with GnR.  Maybe day passes are way cheaper and if one has the cash what a great show to attend.   I am just wanting people to know that this festival is expensive period doesn't matter the year or who the bands are.  So any bitching about cost is not GnR.  

Cheers for info. In uk so obviously know very little about this event. I am surprised by the line-up, and how few heavy rock bands there are. Fingers crossed now for more shows so those on a budget/want to see them play on their own can make it. And Europe shows too!

Not wishing to get hopes up, but in previous years I believe they have in the past streamed the whole event live for free, via the website. I remember watching the outkast set.

If i was Team Brazil id be looking for pay per view and id be looking to make this an eventual dvd now obviously if they end up going on world wide tour they can do a dvd thing anywhere anytime but just in case id sleep alot easier if they atleast got the first one on dvd lol
