Sitting in a sports bar very close to the guns stadium tonight

On the tv right now is the blue Jays bs Houston game.

Surrounded by Canadians.  Blues Jays fans and guns n roses fans

Everyone cheering for the best band in the world and the best team in the world.

I had to share this.   Epic.

And Evoldi just left the game with an elbow problem.
Paging Mr john? Paging mr. Tommy john?
Could be, he's heading back to New York to be examined.

I'll eat a horse apple if its not. All the classic signs. Discomfort, big velo drop (about 3/4 mph), no bite on his pitches.

Well if there's ever a good time for it to happen it is now. We're pretty much resigned to sucking for awhile. So it won't be a huge loss. Maybe Tanaka should have his done too since we know he's going to need it at some point being he's already got that small tear.

Looks like i might be chewing horse crap. They say tendon, not ligament, but hes going for a second opinion.

So he's basically gone for probably 2 years at least?

He will likely never pitch for the Yanks again, considering contract status, etc.

He will miss the rest of this season, and ALL of next season, for sure.  Even 2018 is in doubt, since the last person who had a similar issue didn't throw an MLB pitch for 2 years.  We'll see.

It's funny...I knew as soon as I hit post I was gonna regret that one, even up 6-0.

The yanks middle relief are certified B and bona fide bums....

...and you can't. teach. that.

Nah, they'll be fine.  You basically saw (with the exception of Clippard) the underside of the Yanks bullpen. These are guys they literally keep around to use up, and send down to the minors.  They'll have a whole new pen of bums by tomorrow afternoon.
