Thank you Oakland. I don't care about what anyone says about your stadium. As long as you can't beat Boston your the best!
Glad the Jays do not ever have to fly to Tampa any more this season. Ugh. They sure stink there
Now off to New York. Where the Jays will destroy the evil horible Yankees!!
Go Yanks!
Still feel dirty saying that, but every once in awhile it happens.

Brutal. Just brutal.
So the catcher is now allowed to hit the batters bat with his glove now? Oh. Only if you are a Yankee bum I guess
Why was pilar playing so close !! Play back give up the hit save the run. That was brtual. So brutal. Jays are really bugging me

Umps totally missed the Encarnacion catchers interference call. Should have been a tie game going into the bottom, at least.
But...Yanks have been robbed by a few bad calls vs the Jays this season, too...so I guess you gave them one back?
Still, sucks to lose that way, for sure.

The only way the Yanks sniff the playoffs is if they can figure out how to beat up the AL East for the rest of the season, especially the Jays.
And yes, I still have no faith they are playing October baseball.
But I'm heartened about the prospects (no pun intended) for next year (esp if they can address the rotation issues). And they might actually manage to finish above .500 (which is good and bad).

LOL, unbelievable. Funny how he always refused to play any other position than QB, but entirely different sport, no problem. I actually liked him as a QB, as terrible a passer he was, he was still effective with his hybrid-RB approach to the position. Also, I've always found running QBs more fun to watch.

In a way I admire his drive ... but at the same time no other 30 year old in America who hasn't had at at bat since high school would ever be given an opportunity like this one.
Just wish he would make a nice living doing t.v. and everybody can not have to hear about him anymore.

You know what they say:
If you're not the lead dog, you're still sniffing someone else's asshole.
The lead is small, but they have to jump over at least ONE other team in their division (and maybe 2) to have a real shot at that wc.
They have 7 games against the Rays. That helps.
They have 7 games against the Red Sox. That hurts. And 3 more against the Jays. Basically, 1/3 of their remaining games are against the top 2 teams in the AL East. Considering that (and it's funny to say), their odds are better at winning the division than they are the wild card. Because they'd have to play 700 ball against those two teams to really climb anywhere (or 500 ball, and win every other freaking game, pretty much).
It's not just about how far behind they are (and 2 losses isn't far), but it's about who they have to jump over. Though that 3 game set vs the O's to end the season is looking REALLY interesting right about now.

You are right
The jumping over of teams is very tough and the wild card is looking very very tough
If Jays do not win the AL East, the playoffs will be tough

Tough to sweep when you dig yourself into a 4-0 hole, your starter can't make it out of the 3rd inning, and the defense is busy kicking the ball around all night, especially Upton. The Jays looked like the worst team in the world tonight. Pretty pathetic.
With that being said, it's only one game and they do have Happ going tomorrow, so it's not like they're in trouble or anything. But they haven't been playing inspiring ball of late. Now, worst case scenario for the Sox is they lose the next two and return home tied for 1st. But a series win would be nice.

Jays lose today and they will have gone from al east leader to fighting for the second wild card, really quckly...
