What are some songs you think they should drag out if the band is reunited?

I would kill to hear Bad Obsession and Pretty Tied Up again. A nice mix of AFD - TSI material, with one to two songs of CD material and maybe one VR song thrown in would be a cool mix. It would also be really cool if there was no set setlist, the way they did it on the UYI tour.

Wishes? Same as they've been for years. Rare stuff from Illusions and something new. Reality? It's going to be a 99% Appetite and Hits show because that's what 99.9% of the people there will be paying to see.

Chinese Democracy, Better, Madagascar, ect.

Those are IMO one of GNR's best tracks and no matter who is playing guitar they should keep playing those tracks, it would be a GNR show after all. Just my opinion.

Use Your Illusion I (1991)

« Reply #7 on: December 31, 2015, 11:32:04 AM »

If it is the classic lineup coming together don't they have to play appetite in it's whole self?

This isn't what this tour would be about though...

Jungle has to open and the closer has to be paradise

I wouldn't mind 2-3 chinese songs in there also

I'd love to see one of their mid-80s club-era covers, like Heartbreak Hotel or Mama Kin.

As far as I'm concerned, every single song should be on the table (including Chinese Democracy-era songs if expedient) and shuffled in/out. This could be the last time we see Axl on the road and together with Slash, Duff, and probably others...why not pay tribute to the catalog?  I wouldn't mind some creative covers either...GNR has always been great at interpreting songs and making them their own.

Use Your Illusion I (1991)

« Reply #10 on: December 31, 2015, 11:50:36 AM »

I mean this tour should have them playing 25 songs but no more than 30.

November Rain and Estranged are like 25 minutes together live so remember that lol.

If I get to see them, and they play 25 songs, I'll be thrilled. I just hope they don't try to play like 19-22 songs and jet out of there. Then again I'll be happy to see them no matter what.

I would love to see them kick songs like Jungle further back into the setlist, and return to the feel of the UYI tour... Start with songs like Right Next Door to Hell, and move Nightrain up in the setlist.

Prior to the release of his last album, Slash used a skeleton of Anastasia mixed in with The Godfather as a solo, I would like to see something like that. It allows the classic members to hold on to a piece of what they did over the last 20 years.

It depends on the other members. If it's the original AFD line-up, I would very much like to see Adler playing the Illusions songs. With the mixed new-old line-up with Frank, Dizzy and Richard, I think we could at least hear some Chinese songs like TIL, SOD and even Better.

Has anyone even mentioned Out ta get me? Such an underrated song! Been missing it from the set list...and it's probably one of the easier songs for Axl to really rip into vocally.

My top 2 "new" choices would be "Breakdown" and "Dead Horse". I'd say it's up to Axl whether any CD songs get played. How does he view those songs and the time creating them? He could view it in two ways. He could be very proud of them and what he was able to create despite all the roadblocks they faced. Or he could see it as one of the most difficult parts of his life and would rather separate from it. I'd like for a few to make the cut, and I'd certainly like to hear Slash's take on them. But the majority of the crowd I'm sure would rather hear songs from AFD and UYI's. But maybe a few CD songs, and the ultimate would be the rumored 1 or 2 new songs would be awesome in my book!
