It says this show will be the only show in Europe. A European tour will follow in 2017.

Take it for what it's worth. But I just might go to Germany this summer!!

It says only show in Germany. Therewill probably be more European Shows. A bigger Euro-Tour is planned in 2017.

If they're playing a handful of major markets in Europe in 2016, what's the more likely ones?

Wembley, Stade de France (there's the Euro 2016 though), Camp Nou, San Siro, Amsterdam Arena perhaps..

I think a full European stadium tour would be less likely than doing some major European festivals (Rock Am Ring in Germany; Leeds, Reading/Glastonbury/ Download in the UK; Download France; maybe Roskilde in Denmark?  Just as examples) in the summer, and then a European arena tour the following year.  In South America they would surely be able to do a stadium tour.

I don't think some people realize what kind of artists do stadiums in Europe.

AC/DC did more stadiums hsows in Europe last summer than in the USA.
Iron Maiden do stadium tours... None of them have hits on the radio or play dance music.  hihi

According to this website a promoter denied the rumors about GnR playing Hockenheim in 2016.
Wizard Promotions' boss Hoppe, who co-organized the last Germany gig in M?nchengladbach in 2012, claims that he would have heard about it otherwise.

If Wizard Promotions is indeed still in charge of making GnR gigs happen in Germany is unknown. If they are not responsible for GnR gigs, why should they be informed. Wink
But on the other hand the company is responsible for concerts taking place at the Hockenheimring.

The rumored date (July 2016) would fit in the calendar since Hockenheimring is hosting the F1 Grand Prix in July (29th-31st) and no other event is listed on their website for that month.

I think we will get information as soon as there is something to reveal.

Who was the source in the original post? Was it said it was from the promoter.

If not, I'm thinking this might be a case of the promoter now going out and down-playing this because contracts aren't final yet.

Admins from the German GnR forum have source, and theyve been right about everything that theyve announced in the past, like rock am ring 06 or the show in 12.
So inwouldnt worry about the promoter declining this. Itll happen
