So I have seen all the tour rumors but one theme I don't like is Izzy wont be on tour. Anyone know why? His choice? Band doesn't want him. Just curious.

No line-up has been announced.

Nobody knows for sure. Izzy chose to leave during the UYI tour because he thought it was too big, remember.

Axl has previously said that for a full scale tour with the old guys, Duff and Slash would be the reliable ones. It seems like that's what's happening now.

Pretty sure Izzy and the guys are probably on good terms. I would imagine it has to do why he left in the first place. He didn't want to be a rock star. He just wanted to write some tunes and play music. The whole biggest band in the world thing was never his thing. He doesn't want to tour. I would imagine he would be up for playing a couple shows here and there... Just like the last few years with the New Guns.

If this comes together, its going to be big from every angle.  Big news, big attention, big crowds,...bi everything.

Which is like, everything Izzy hates.  A stadium tour to him is probably like torture.

Ok.

If the previous years are any measure, I don't think you'll get a heads up on that.

Yeah, touring in itself wasn't a problem. He just liked it scaled down.

If the current rumors are true... It doesn't seem very scaled down.

Wonder how much he likes money at this point...

Do you think that's changed since 1991? If I could guess, I think he's comfortable economically.

If he liked money more than happiness, he wouldn't have quit in 1991.

Man, I miss the MTV of my youth.

Just hearing Kurt Loder's voiceover here again is cool.

He's been retired for 25 years. I'm sure he'll do the obligatory handful of guest appearances.

This.

Izzy doesn't like doing big tours. I doubt football stadiums are going to lure him back.

Hahahaha. This comment literally made me laugh out loud.

Everyone seems so eager to count this guy out. If the rumors are true - and at this point details are still sketchy - then it's 25 freakin shows.

I think the main issue might be whether he wants to bother rehearsing, relearning the songs, etc.

But, like you said, money fucking talks.

Now, me personally, I think he'll show up for a few shows and do a few songs. But I wouldn't automatically write him off.

He will probably appear on occasion, a few songs here and there, like he's done in preceding years.

Good on him if he doesn't feel like he wants to be part of it for the whole haul - just remember though that nothing has been announced..

I wonder if Izzy would return if he reunion were just a run of "25" Football Stadiums in the summer? I'm guessing hockey arenas in the winter followed by a world tour...

Remember when Izzy did a run with GNR sometime over the last decade Axl said something about how much he got paid.  He also stated that he didnt want to know what management worked
out with him because it would ruin a little of the fun.  So Izzy isn't against big money.  He's got to afford his carefree life style somehow!  Its the routine of it that probably turns him off.
I could see him doing a big farewell 25 shows though.  It would set him up for a long time, and he could be apart of something he created.  I really hope he does come back and play more than
just a one off here, and there.
