In the past GN'R have been announced to play festivals and shows before they've made their own announcement.

Sure, calm before the storm is good, assuming there is "a storm" coming.  The longer we go with no news on the next record, you have to wonder whether there is any real faith in it from the powers that be, meaning Axl, label & otherwise...And I say that believing it will likely be just as strong, if not, stronger than Chinese Democracy if they actually put it out.

Agreed.  There is not even consensus if people want that album, the reunion tour, mix of both.

The only common denominator is that people want SOMETHING, whatever it winds up being.

Little over the top.

Your rep is absolutely dogshit with large sections of our fanbase.  But certain comparisons (AIDS, cancer, Hitler) are best avoided, I think.

I've told every person that has ever run you down that they can't honestly say they would not play things exactly the way you do if they were ever given the opportunity you were.

They swear up and down they would not.  I tend to think that's...suspect, at best.  Total and complete bullshit at worst.

I think I would keel over from excitement if anything happened at this point. The above posters mention about Ax coming out of nowhere with a piano and some new songs, for me that would almost be the best case scenario though.

Man, that would be amazing. Id love to see something like that. Get the GNR name, the record company, the problems with band members and all the rest of it all out of the way, and just let him do his thing. See how it goes. See what he can do on his own. Im of the opinion that it would likely be the most epic thing music has seen in a long time.

Comparing someone to AIDS (or, as DGen says, cancer, Hitler etc.) is really not on.  I can see that some people might not like Jarmo's style, but whatever.  There's no need for that kind of comparison.  No need at all.
