I mean right now by throwing out his opinions on the reunion speculations. hihi

I was talking about DJ Ashba.  I thought we all were.

I certainly was speaking about DJ ASHBA. Nikki Sixx was never in GNR  Grin

It is odd that some view it as DJ changing his mind and him quitting must have been a surprise for the band, but I view it more like something must have happened that made DJ quit, precisely because he always seemed so invested in GNR.

My conspiracy theory: DJ was sacked, and Axl gave him the opportunity to say that he quit so it doesnt look bad on anyone.

I really don't think that was the case at all.

Nikki Sixx (much as I love the guy) isn't in a position to "confirm" anything.

DJ Ashba perpetually acted and many times stated outright that he never had any clue what was happening with Guns N Roses.... and this was while he was in the band!  So I don't buy for a second that he magically discovered all kinds of things about GNR when he left the band.

More bullshit.

Oh give it a rest.

Hard to take Nikki Sixx seriously.... You could say he forced DJ to choose between GnR & Sixx Am.

People see clues everywhere.
But in this case, not so much.
Nikki's main band is ending so he'll have more time for his other projects. Is it possible that he told the rest of his band that he'd like if they made the band their main focus? Yes, why not? Did it happen? Don't know.

/jarmo

I just find it funny, you can find interviews where DJ says " he's in GnR for the long run", "sixx Am will not be touring".  Then the opposite happens.  I understand where things change over time, but I can't help to think GnR was caught off guard by his decision.  That's where I think Nikki comes into play.
I totally agree with you.

And to add to the conspiracy fire, I say DJ was sacked because Slash came back. The reunion made DJ leave instead of DJ's departure paving the way for a reunion.

Somehow you think what DJ said in his letter made me think him leaving was because of Slash?

No, all I got from his letter was that he liked to write music, and Sixx Am was an outlet for him to do so. And given that he was not able to do so with GNR AFTER SO MANY YEARS, I assume he no longer viewed GNR as a possible creative outlet.

As someone else said you can only play Nighttrain so many times before starting to feel like a broken record.

No, I agree with you in that he did leave to have more creative input in his career. that is his choice, and he is free to do so. this is America and not Nazi Germany.. He is a master at PR in that he is using the current reunion speculations to generate attention for himself and SIXX AM by associating themselves wilth all the reunion hoopla. He is brilliant in his own narcissistic way. His letter had nothing to do with any hypothetical return of Slash. That too was a brilliant PR stunt written with the help of a NYC publicist.

Well Im again avoiding replying some of what you are stating because, we already discussed this in another thread.
However I fail to see how DJ is generating attention for himself in this situation, because it was a random fan asking Nikki Sixx a question about GNR.

If you are somehow implying that Nikki Sixx registered a fake profile on twitter to ask himself a GNR related question in order to generate attention to himself and that somehow DJ is behind all of this, well?

That is as crazy and far fetched as me saying a reunion made DJ ashba leave. I think it is even crazier.  nervous

Dj made his own comments on twitter and his other social media. DJ and N6 are very manipulative individuals. Again just my opinion.

Hahaha always makes me laugh how upset people get at DJ's resignation letter to the fans.

Ive been a huge knocker of DJ.. for a lot of things... but thats one thing that people need to get a grip with. Pretty sure we have had that argument though.

I don't read DJ twitter.  Did you go and see his twitter?  hihi How can you be so up to date with what some dudes you don't like say?

But I just went to find what he said:

"Personally, I would love to see the original members of @gunsnroses reunite. Let's hope it happens for the fans!! Wink ~ Much Love ~ DJA"

What he is actually saying in plain letters, is that he does not know whether a reunion is set in stone or not.  Which is odd, because it contradicts what Nikki Sixx said.

It could be just that, If Nikki Sixx is getting questions, I bet DJ ashba is getting those same questions tenfold.

He may be erasing his tracks though according to my conspiracy theory, that is, making everybody stay away from the notion that he was sacked because of the reunion by pretending not to know anything about it.  Grin

yes, this is not about the resignation letter but the current comments they are both making in their social media. it is attention seeking and self serving. It actually wouldn't surprise me if that horrible alternative nation clickbait site ran your DJ conspiracy story as a factual account of the way events transpired. nervous their MO is to pick up and run with rumours and theories they see on GNR forums. I read about the DJ/N6 stuff on threads at other forums.

Did you see Robin say anything on his social media when he left ?

Bumblefoot didnt say a word.

The issue is not whether they speak or they don't. There's always going to be some saying they don't like them for speaking and some for not speaking when they left.

it's not whether I like or dislike it. I just believe in my heart that DJ and N6 are capitalizing on GNR reunion fever to promote themselves. Again it is just my opinion. Nothing more and nothing less. we can agree to disagree.
