They were in Oslo too, in june.  Fantastic show, and I was Lucky enough to hang out a little bit with Richard, DJ and Tommy too. What a gentleman Ashba was towards the fans. Mads quite an impression.

BTW Green Day was staying at the same hotel as Guns, since they were playing the national football stadium a couple of days later. But there was only one man people were screaming for outside the hotel. Guess who... Anyway, I thought too myself, because Green Day was huge in 2010, what a legend Axl is, still getting that kind of "Beatlemania" where ever he is. Sure, not so many now as back in the 90s. But damn,  people  (including me) are worse than a fanatic or a teenage Belieber.

Later, when Billy Joe Armstrong was praising Axl at the Hall of fame, I wondered if they hung out, having a good time back in Oslo those beautiful sunny days in 2010.

I did fall asleep on the bus and almost missed my stop...

I didn't get to see any of those shows. Had tix for the Reading and leeds festivals that I gave to a board member here, couldn't make the trip to England . What hotel did they stay at in Oslo? I was just there last month. Stayed at the best hotel in the city. Was very beautiful. saw an NWA painting by the National theater. What were the chances of that? I'd say One in  a million.

They stayed at Grand Hotel. That sure is a better place to sleep than the central station   hihi

Lot's of quality street art in Oslo now, supported by the city council, and you don't get it much more "street" than NWA  ok

Cool! That is the same hotel I was at! It wAs part of a Disney FROZEN adventure trip. There's a Hard Rock Cafe just down the street! Was a magnificent old hotel.
Yes it blew my mind to see that painting! Wish I knew how to post pics!

Oslo! That was the first gig I saw with DJ. And one of several where hanging out at the pre-show drinks for some time meant we only just made it for show start!  hihi  I remember walking into Elm street bar and approaching a group of people in GnR t-shirts and hoping they were part of the HTGTH gang. They weren't and didnt speak much/any english! Great to hang with everyone there once people arrived.  Had a great spot for the show, I liked the Spektrum.

Reading festival - well that was quite epic...loved the crowd singing back Paradise City to the band when they were cut off - I posted some pics of that on here back then.  Silly fucker Melvin pulling their plug, that festival has really gone down the toilet over the years.

Was lucky enough to go to 5 more shows on that tour, some great moments.  Accidentally found myself in Lille's "jungle" on a pre-show wander  no I think London (Axl singing with KFC bucket on his head, Duff suddenly walking out onstage playing YCBM, tearing apart Whole Lotta Rosie and Nice Boys like it was the 80's) and Manchester (crazy, most up-for-it crowd!) stood out.  Fkn great times.  beer and great company with people from here, with the band on seriously great form.  Loved hearing Sorry and IRS live on this tour.

Pretty cool venue for a football fan.
The way they roll out the pitch outside between games.

On this tour, there was country specific merchandise.

T-shirts with the colors of the country's flag featured on the design as well as the date of the show(s) in that country on the back.

I took my buddy who'd only ever listened to rap and niche dance music to the MEN show after he'd loved listening to the new album.. he was astounded a rock band was so big and could sell out an arena.. A mindblowing experience for him and a mindblowing revelation on his knowledge for me.

Yeah, the learnt from the mistakes of the other rooftop stadium in Amsterdam.  Smiley Rolling out the pitch is ideal for the grass and for events like rock concerts.
