In No way did I insinuate that Axl needed therapy over this letter. I still believe the letter was staged. On tqhe surface it was nice, but there was a sinister subtext IMO. It's just my opinion. Nothing more and nothing less.

Sinister Subtext? Are you serious??? This is a band, not a CIA black site... what did this letter do to 'undermine' Axl, or GnR? The clarity of this letter is what has been missing from this band for decades. Why does everything need to be treated like an issue of national security?
As a heart attack. I think N6 was behind it. DJ could have said these things to Axl privately.  Again just my opinion.

Maybe he did, maybe he wanted the fans to know how he felt about Axl. In order not to have haters that may have said that he was ungrateful, or a quitter.

I would believe that if he had written a less dramatic over the top letter. Again this is just my opinion.

Maybe what you think is dramatic, and over the top is actually just him trying to write what is without a doubt a very difficult letter to write.
I see nothing dramatic and over the top and I agree with others that it is far better than the BBF fiasco.

We can agree to disagree. I just feel in my heart that the letter was insincere. Call it women's intuition.

An insincere letter which tells the truth. Call it paradox.
Yes. That he was never Axl's friend .

Again.. you're only looking at this thru rose colored glasses (pun intended)

DJ doesn't owe his life and his career to him... if DJ wants to make it clear what HIS future plans are, then that his right. He said nothing about Axl's future plans, that would be wrong of him, but he didn't do that.

I don't know what else to say ... We obviously are never going to agree. I don't even care for the guy or his music... but whats right is right.

If DJ gave wishy washy answers every time people asked him about GNR... Then you would bash him for that too... just like everybody has done to Ron for giving wishy washy answers.

He got out in front of it... and I appreciated that.

Did he? Or did he just throw away a friendship to advance himself since he felt his friend no longer served his interests?  There was a better way to move on with his career. Again just my opinion

No. As a person who has experienced extreme betrayal from coworkers who are manipulative narissicists that letter really hit a nerve with me. Again. Just my opinion. Nothing more and nothing less

No worries. Let's just say I would rather take care of an Ebola patient with body fluids streaming out of every orifice with no hazmat suit then ever work with that person again. Great art makes you glad to be alive.  GNR music has been a great source of comfort to for the past 20 years. So I hate to see my favorite artist used by a manipulative narcissist for his own shameful self promotion.  Again. Just my opinion.

God!!! Baz and DJ are two adults. They don`t need Axl`s approval to do whatever they want. I very much doubt Axl gives a fuck about what they do.

But assuming Axl thinks they are stabbing him in the back, so what? People have the right to do what they want and to go on with their lives despite of what Axl thinks or feels. Axl doesn`t dictate other people actions. They are free men not Axl`s private property

Before DJ made his departure official with his letter. DJ and all the Sixx A.M. band members gave a long interview to RS magazine talking about their plans. DJ made it clear that Sixx A.M. was his priority. Many of us fans figured out he was gone. D.J. oficial announcement just confirmed what many of us already thought

I've pretty much said why I thought the letter was a contrived self promoting PR move.  On the surface it was nice.  It was the motivation behind it to use Axl's name to garner attention for himself.  It's still being quoted by Blabbermouth in a recent article about DJ performing the National Anthem at some Monster Energy sponsored event.

Why is this in the Guns section? Isn't DJ a former member? Shouldn't it be moved? While we are at it I happened to notice that the shadow of DJ is still represented on the title page.

People sure struggle with this, huh?  The dude is gone.

A lot of people said Robin might be back too.  How's that working out?  You know, its almost like once he left, he moved on to other shit.
