Listening to the Adam Carolla Podcast, and his guest, carpenter John DiResta talked about people's desire for products made of distressed wood and especially, wood with a backstory. He said one notable backstory was that he obtained wood from a shed in Axl's backyard that a fellow construction friend was hired to demolish.
Kinda seems funny to think that you'd have products in a showroom that have backstories like, "wood from salvaged clipper ship, wood from fort Ticonderoga, wood from Axl Rose's backyard shed..."
