Anyone feel these were the best run of shows since 2006/2007? Axl sounded great, didn't hide behind hats or heavy coats, was in pretty good shape and looked great and seemed to be really trying....I wish we could've gotten a DVD of Osaka 2009.

Amazing shows.

I think the 12.19.09 concert is the best concert any new line-up has done.

One of the few bootlegs I still listen to with the same frequency I do older shows.

Great shows. But the band got even better later on during the tour.

And what a show that was...... i think almost every single song of C.D. was played.
Historic show and the 2nd or 3rd with Ashba in the band ?

All but 'Rhiad'.  You can't beat that setlist.

It's the 08.03.1991 Inglewood show of this line-up's era.

Correct !
Ahh...With every mention of that specific Inglewood concert, Locomotive comes to mind.
Pretty off-topic but if the Osaka concert featured Locomotive, with this 3-guitar lineup,i'd be squirting even now  Lips Sealed

I agree with Jarmo.

The band got better as the tour went on and in to 2010.

Although, I do get the fascination with the 2009 shows. As I recall they were Chinese heavy and the band was kinda doing a "trial by fire" approach. Exhaustive sets and setlists.

Nothing has ever rivaled the 2006 shows though in my book. The 2002 shows I never got to see but on tape they sound and look really great as well.

I agree the 2006 tour was the best any new band has ever sounded.  Mainly, because it was far and away the best Axl we've gotten in 15 years time.

As much as I love that 12.19.09 show, its completely unrealistic to expect that show every night.  All those songs, that long a show.

My favorite show production was in Canada in 2010.

I would say 2010 was unquestionably the best year since the album came out.

But, overall, would you take the 2010 performances over 2006?

And it was the day after the Montreal show. Which also rocked.

I'm just watching that show. COR. I have enjoyed each version of the band less over time, peaking with the bonkers 2002 version.. but no denying that's one helluva show.

(Thanks for the tip on the YT show)
